It's not just Virginia but the entire country. If you haven't been keeping up with the news, the FBI sent out a warning that all 50 states are expected to have some sort of unspecific "serious" event happening between the 16th and 20th.

Last night I watched Wavy news, and according to VCDL, the lobby day caravan is still happening. While they can ban you from holding permitted events, they cannot stop you from simply driving down the roads in your car. During last night Wavy's story, the news person asked about the hate group and like most people with common sense would say, there's nothing you can do to stop them and no reason to not do the caravan idea just because.

Keep in mind this is considered lobbying and not "protesting." So please don't come there thinking we're going to riot or protest something. We're simply going there to show the elected officials that they have a very large chunk of Virginians not wanting them to implement any sort of gun control laws that restrict lawful people.

The problem with the caravan is it will be ignored or used to brand more good ole boy propoganda, or worse a predicted route for a bad event. Additionally, you will be on a list of future interest.   What's the upside/objective?  Regrouping is not weakness....it's actually a discipline that we may not have.

So what can we do instead? VCDL is already declared as a hate group of the left. I believe Moms Demand calls VCDL a terrorist group. That's a new favorite word by the left, "extremist terrorist groups" to describe anyone with a different idea.

I don't think hiding is a good strategy right now.

NEWS RELEASE: RICHMOND – In preparation for possible demonstrations around Richmond over the next week, and in light of the civil unrest in the nation’s capital on Jan. 6, the Department of General Services is implementing precautionary measures to protect the employees, visitors, buildings and grounds at historic Capitol Square.

DGS will implement the following changes:

Capitol Square will be closed Thursday, Jan. 14, through at least Thursday, Jan. 21.
Steps will be taken to enhance security for critical infrastructure, including installing additional fencing and fortifying buildings in and adjacent to Capitol Square, beginning Wednesday, Jan. 13.
Access to all DGS-controlled buildings will be restricted from Saturday, Jan. 16 through Thursday, Jan. 21.

The move comes after an FBI bulletin about “armed protests” planned for all 50 state capitals in the days leading up to the inauguration.

At least one pro-gun group, the Virginia Citizens Defense League, is planning to protest on Lobby Day but emphasize it will be a peaceful demonstration.
