Would it be useful for people to show up on these days, in addition to lobby day?

I'm a member of VCDL, and will do what I can.  I also have some vacation to burn.

Should I drive over and just be another body to help boost your number?

What the preferred dress attire, I was thinking suit and tie to imply that it's not just backwoods rednecks, but if you'd rather I had plates and NODs, that's cool too.

In other threads there's talk about wearing a suit with a slung rifle.  Is that the preferred image you guys want?  I'm trying to imagine driving over, walking to the event in a suit with a laptop bag, pulling an AR out and assembling it, then standing around?

So I can fly there for roughly $200 round trip on Southwest Airlines.  I am seriously considering.  Anybody gotta couch overnight?  Arrive on evening of 19th out of Reagan National and flight out evening of the 20th?

I am a rather handsome warm body.... and a member of the VCDL...

Considering the exact same, we can even alternate big spoon/little spoon if needed.

I’m driving in from an hour south of Roanoke, because I have to take my wheelchair.

Can someone give me an idea about parking and meeting logistics?

I took the bus last time, and kinda regretted it due to being tied to the bus's schedule.  It was nice to share the ride with other members and take a little nap, but I would like more flexibility and planned to drive myself in the future.  I'm wondering now though if there really ends up being a massive turnout, will parking become an issue to the point where the bus would be the better option again.

Is VCDL wanting this to be an "armed " demonstration or just bodies.  Va honors my carry permit so I'm good there but this is you guys show. If I'm able to make the trip I want to be there how y'all want it done, not something else. If open carry is desired then I'll be game. If not then no. I don't want to be the jackass causing problems but want to show support how the VCDL wants it shown.

I was thinking along the line of open carry holstered pistol. But being in January the jacket to keep warm probably would conceal it anyway so....

I'm coming for sure, and hopefully bringing some with me.  I've got a thread in OH HTF to see if I can pick anyone up.

I'm coming in a suit and tie (weather depending with a nice wool overcoat) and a slung AR.  I don't expect anything, but will have a couple of spare mags, water and snacks.

VA recognizes OH permits, so I assume I can have whatever mags I feel like, and may carry a D60 out of principle.  Is there any oddball VA law we need to worry about?

For anyone looking to buy one, years ago when I bought mine it was from HERE. That link is the cheapest legit gas mask out there IIRC.  If someone knows otherwise, speak up.

Rumors huh?

Did the rumors say anything about halitosis or chlamydia?

There goes my plan to bring my Bofors cannon.

So my advice to you would be to try to find pre-paid, reserved parking NOW and get that part nailed down today.

All of the rally locations should be wheelchair accessible.

We will be meeting near the clocktower at 0800 for lobbying, and at 1100 the rally will be near the steps of the capital.

I am on standby for the Hampton bus, but it is just as easy for me to drive to Richmond. So my question is, how do you reserve a parking spot in Richmond? Where are people parking? I am located in the Gloucester/Mathews area.

If willing to take public trans, what I did for the gun rally on the capital steps 3 weeks ago was park at Willow Lawn Kroger and take the Pulse bus.
It will be running every ten mins 1/20/20.Attachment Attached File

Apologies for not getting the video started right when he started his 2A remarks. I believe the part I missed was his intro regarding one-gun-a-month  -- so video starts just as he is saying he believes one-gun-a-month will pass (he says "I expect that to happen...")
