When I get back from Maryland tomorrow night, I'll see how the wife's mood is, biding my time, before I ask permission.

11:45, and then those that want to go to lunch can leave from there?

I wonder if the VCDL guy who told us to move along will be at the table again?

It was permissible to speak of bringing things to the show that you are trying to part with at one time. Just as long as you don't post prices or make posts similar to something that belongs in the
EE.

Here's what Va_Gunnut posted in my last Gunshow Thread last October:

{StaffModeOn}The hometown forums isn't for placing forsale adds. If you want to list things you are bringing to the show, that is fine. If anyone is interested in finding out a price, contact the other member via IM or email. Thanks!  {StaffModeOff}

Anyway, hope to see you all there and lunch at the Mexico.

Well I didn't post a for sale ad, just linked to one (on the EE BTW). The gist of my post was that I was bringing them to the show.

I would love to go guys, but unfortunatly I am broke and spending the little money I have to go to the range on saturday.  With gas prices a range trip, including ammo and gas, would be cheaper than me going to Richmond right now.  I did get a new EAA in 9mm over Christmas though.  I wish I could go to pick up some ammo for it and my M1A.

Usually its on the third weekend.  This probably means that there isn't going to be shit at either.  I am going to the Roanoke one any way.  Have money burning a hole in my wallet

Ha! I'm not too proud to print that out. Thanks Danny.

I'll be at the show tomorrow sometime before noon. I'll probably try to sell my Colt AR and look for surplus powder and good primer deals as usual. Maybe there will be some cheap tracers there.
I'm curious how much 7.62x39 will be going for. I've got plenty stashed already, but everyone says the prices are spiking due to lack of supply.

Hopefully we can meet up and chat for a minute or so.

If anyone sees some 5.7X28 for around $20 a box, holler out!

I'll have on a green fleece jacket and a camo ball cap. I'm 6' 5" and I doubt you could miss me.

Okay, I should be there.

Drop by and introduce yourself to everyone, even if you're not doing lunch at The Mexico.

I'll be there at 11, look out for a guy in khaki cargo pants, white t-shirt and camo jacket, my girlfriend and a buddy will be with me. I'll stop by the booth at 11:45 but will not be able to make lunch as I am taking highwayman down to a buddies house to look at a car he's selling.

Well, I had hoped to leave home by 10:00, and it's 11:00, so I probably won't make the meet.  I should still be at the show sometime.

Blue jeans, kelly green shirt, navy blue cap, backpack....  say hi.

I just got back home.

It was a pleasure to meet you all!

I found some 5.7x28:

SS195LF for $22 (I got 2)

SS196SR for $20 ( I got 1)

I saw 3 sets of stripped Colt small pin lowers with stripped A2 uppers for $325 each set. 1 set looked real good and the other 2 had anodizing removed and were in the white. These were originally Match Target's.

I saw 2 AK folded receivers and some kits that were cheapl like $89 for each.

I even saw 1 Original Stoner bayonet that had been used by a Navy Seal for $100

I saw plenty of wolf .223, some Q3131A and plenty of GA Canned Heat @ $90 for 500.

Plenty of AR's and quite a few lowers (RRA's and another brand I can't recall). Plenty of magazines for AR's.

I saw a Bushy 9mm pistol that was cool looking for $799.

The best part however was getting to meet friends from here though.

Man Danny looks like the Richmond show was the place to be.  The Roanoke show sucked donkey balls.  Going into the show was scary enough.  The rif-raf were well positioned were regularly muzzle sweeping everyone.  As I rounded the corner one guy was dropping the hammer of a Smith Revolver pointed right at me!

I saw nothing but crap inside.  I was looking for a new handgun.  Sig 226, 220 or a HK USP fullsize or 1911 but was really open to anythingn that caught me eye.  I saw a nice Romanian AK that I liked, had black furniture on it an everything.  The dipshit guy at the counter decided to play the part of a used car salesman.  He saw me with Leslie and said he had a two-for one deal one for him, one for her.  He then goes on to tell me that AK's are great guns to hunt squirrels and rabbits with and after you shoot them you can cook them over a hot barrel  Nice gun but that totally soured me.  I saw a some Georga Arms 55gr FMJ ammo $90 for 500 rounds didn't think that was bad should have bought some.  One guy had a lot of AR parts though he had unstaked carriers for $155.  Had a woman just about run me over with her stroller that she was pushing as well.  Just wasn't a pleasent experience.......

I picked up a few hundred rounds for my new Glock 30 but nothing else(broker after buying the 30 last weekend). Met highwayman, Minuteman, VA-gunnut and cashman?

Highwayman came down to my friend's place to look at a transam he is selling also.

It was nice to meet you all.

ETA: Georgia Ams prices seemed to be higher, asked the guy at the table if the website had higher prices also and he said they did. A check of Georgia Arms website shows same old prices $85/500 $160/1k

I might start using lancer ammo now. www.lancerammo.com supposed to be loaded pretty hot and $155/1k

The ss195lf is probably the best find there. $22 isnt bad if you can actually find it somewhere that stocks it. Big thing is that I dotn have any weapons that use the stuff yet. If I could actually find a PS90 at around retail price I would snatch it up. Once I sell my USP I will buy the 5.7 pistol. I dont know that buying ammo in bulk right now is a good idea with Fiocchi just starting to make the stuff along with wolf comming up and possible a few more to follow.

I got a few things at the show after taking a look at that TA.  Picked up a Dewey rod, some Black Hills .308, paracord, etc.  You know, the essentials of life.  The show seemed a bit smaller than usual, and a lot more crowded.  Anybody else feel that way?

Hey fiend, next time I see you, remind me to bring along some of my .45 loads.  4.5 gr. of Bullseye powder pushing a 230 gr. Winchester FMJ bullet.  They're great plinkers, very accurate and soft recoil.  I'll give you 50 if you want.  MJD
