Thinking about making an SBR. Noticed on some site that besides the AFT fun, you have to do something with VA as well. Anyone have problems getting a NFA stamp in Alexandria?

NFA items have nothing to do with Va in particular, Only if it's legal in this state or not, Which it is, SBS SBR MG AOW Suppressor etc are all legal in VA. You must have your local LEO sign off, Which I cannot comment on Alexandria. If your local official will not sign you can go around him/her by going the Corprate route........Udog

No chance you are getting CLEO signoff for NFA items in Alexandria. You will have to incorporate.

ETA: I inquired with the CLEO when I lived in Alexandria.

You must register a machinegun in VA, as well as the tax stamp. You don't have to do this with a suppressor, SBR, SBS, or AOW.

How about moving to Fairfax County? The current Sheriff is fairly good with NFA sign off.
