I'm thinking about what I would like to get for a carry gun and have it narrowed down to 3 guns. A .38 special, Glock 26 and a Khar 9. I was thinking about going to a range that would have all three of them that I could rent so I can test them all at once. Does anyone know any ranges around the area that I can just walk into and pay by the hour and that they would let me (being 20) rent a handgun?

I don't know of any ranges that will rent you the guns until your 21st. That said, I would bet that the NoVa types have all of those weapons between them. I am not of much help unless you want to shoot a 6inch barrel .357, which would be totally different than any .38 you would ever ACTUALLY carry. I also would bet that any of the ranges would rent to afplayboy and you could shoot them.

I have a S&W Model 64, 4" .38 that I'd let you try out. Not sure if that's what you had in mind,
but I'd be willing to meet up at NRA one evening and let you launch some lead downrange.

Just go up to Shooter's Paradise in Woodbridge and bring someone that is 21. I believe they have all of the guns you are looking for.
