I'm looking for a gun store with more than NONE on the shelf in Central or NOVA. Every shop I've called or visited, said they could order me what I want, but I want to put finger prints on a few models before I decide.

This may not help, but I did see a few at the last Dulles gunshow. There will be another one coming up in a couple of months.

Shooters Paradise in Woodbridge has a Scandium commander sized one with the Crimson Trace laser grips.

I believe VA Arms in Manassas had a couple last time I was there.

DeGoff's has the Scandium SC1911 "Commander" size.

I like the Smiths, I think they're the best 1911 out there for less than $1K.

Thanks guys, those are all the places I checked. Unfortunately, they all only have one model on the shelf, I want to look over several models without having to drive all over to see them.
