Here is the final bit of info for the BRD. If the info on here doesn't answer your questions, please contact me for more info. You can either IM me, or email me at
[email protected].
I'm looking forward to this and I hope everyone can make it out.
FRIDAYI'll be arriving at the gunclub around 9:00am and will be finishing the set-up then. The sooner I get finished, the sooner we can shoot. Anyone who arrives on Friday and wishes to shoot the 3-gun match, will be able to do so starting in the afternoon. There will be several of us camping out on Friday evening, so if you can make it down and want to camp, come and do so. If there are some of you who wanted to camp, but don't have a tent, I'll be bringing a six man tent and you're quite welcome to use it.
We will be doing some grilling on Friday night. If you're coming in on Friday and want to eat dinner with us, please IM me so I can get a head count. Plus, we can work out what everyone would like to eat that night.
SATURDAYWhen everyone arrives, please check in at the club house. If you arrive late, and there is no one in the club house, I'll be on one of the ranges. For those who show and want to have breakfast, the kitchen will be selling breakfast.
Start: 9:00am (Since I'm camping, we'll probably start a little earlir).
3-Gun:
This will begin around 9:00am and will run no later then 1:00pm. When you check in, let me know if you want to shoot the 3-gun, and you'll receive a score sheet. Just hand it in to the person scoring.
It will be a first come, first serve basis. You can get all the info on the three gun match
here. When the 3-gun is finished, the pistol range will be open for general shooting.
Rifle Competition: This will begin at 11:00am on the rifle range. The rifle range will be open before this, so people can make sue their rifles are all ready. When you check in, please let me know if you plan on shooting the rifle competition. This way I can add your name to the list. This will also be a first come first serve basis. There will be separate classes for different rifle actions, and those with or without optics. I'm changing the distance for the open sight rifles this time. Each shooter will shoot 5 shots at 3 different distances. They will be 25, 50, and 100yds. The open site rifle shooters will shoot first, and when they are done we'll switch the target distances to 100, 150, and 200yds for the scoped shooters. Also I'm changing the targets for the open site shooters. They will be using B27 targets, and the scoped shooters will be using the 100 and 200yd NRA targets. All shooters will be shooting from the prone position. The shooter will be able use a bipod or a support under the front of the rifle. You won't be able to use any kind of rest under the rear of the rifle. Shooting slings will be exceptable.
If you wish to shoot open sights, this will be from 11:00-12:15. If you want to shoot during the scoped portion, this will be from 12:45-2:00. Suppressor Demonstration: John Oliver from Dane Manufacturing will be putting this on. This will begin at 2:30pm. The ranges will be closed while this is going on, to help reduce the background noise during the demo.
If anyone is interested in shooting skeet or trap, bring out your skeet/trap guns. The fields will be open for anyone who wants to give it try.
Build It Yourself: This will run from 3:00 untill 4:15pm. If you have anything that you would like to see or have done during this time period, please IM Long_Rifle_Tactical to let him know.
Swap Meet: We are going to have this going on in the club house at the same time as the Build It Yourself session. So 3:00 to 4:15.
Closing barrage at 4:30: I would like everyone to have at least 3 mags loaded by 4:30 for their rifles(whatever rifle you want to shoot). This will basically be everyone who is at the BRD with a rifle doing a 3 mag dump on the pistol range.
Door and Raffle Prizes: This will be begin as soon as we are done with closing barrage on the pistol range.
Steak Dinner: This will begin at 5:30pm. This is definitely a high light of the days activities. Just as a side note, everyone who pays for the dinner when checking in, will receive an extra door prize ticket.
Night Shooting: This will start after the dinner is finished up. We'll be doing this until 9:00pm. Anyone who wants to hang around with those of us camping will be quite welcome.
Just as a reminder. The cost for the day is $20. This covers entrance for the day, one of the competitions, and a door prize. Anyone who shows up on Friday will get that day included with the fee for Saturday.
Kids under 15, and guests will be free for the day.
The steak dinner will be $20 which covers the cost of the dinner, and another door prize ticket.
Door Prize Tickets: These will be for the following prizes.

SOME BASIC RULES:The rifle range will be for position shooting. There will be no bump firing, or cross range shooting on this range. Plus, please do not shoot at the steel animal targets with high powered rifles. They are for .22's only, so leave them for the kids.
The pistol range will be for general shooting. This will include bumpfiring, but only after the 3-gun match is done.
There will be target stands with cardboard on them to shoot at. If you would like to bring something of your own to shoot at, that is fine. You can not shoot at glass.
Open carry is quite exceptable. Please don't carry your rifles around loaded though. Wait untill you are on the range to load the rifles. Please don't have any guns loaded when you set up to shoot in the 3-gun match. The RO will give you the needed instructions for this portion.
Please do not handle any loaded firearms in the club house. If you carry a loaded pistol into the club house, leave it in the holster untill you get back outside.
Eye and Ear Protection will be required for all people on the ranges. This especially goes for those people down on the pistol range, because of all the steel we are going to be shooting at.
