I'm not a 100% sure, but I believe they are a shall issue item. As long as you can pass the background check you should have no problem. This just became available July 1st, as part of a large number of pro-gun laws being passed this year.

Actually, if you do a search on packing.org, you'll find a wealth of info on the VA non-res permits. You can start right at the top of the Packing.org Virginia page. It's a pretty simple process, and takes about 20 days, start to finish. -FMD |

Cool! My girlfriend will be at UVA for a year two starting next spring-glad to see I can carry. Tennessee (where she is now) and Kentucky both recognize my NY CCW permit even though NY recognizes no one else's.
