 Due to lack of funding, I don't own one yet. Anyone interested in loaning me out a .308 for the shoot? I'll gladly swap some ammo or cash for the 15 rounds to run the match. I promise I'll give it back when I'm done.

Thanks Hop. I'll take you up on that if nobody else feels like schlepping an extra long gun just for me to fondle. Edit: But I was looking forward to a .308 bolt gun just because it's either that or an AR10 for my next purchase.....whenever that might be. |

I'm in the same boat BF. I sold off my 20" to fund my SAM-R project and I don't think it will be finished in time

I can put my ARMS cover and a scope on my FAL if you want. Here's a pic of my wife shooting it that way off a bench. I got a ton of ammo so you won't have to worry about that unless you want MATCH grade ammo. I have Port & Aussie surplus.

I have a scoped AR10. I'm using the M3LR scope and have a good 100yd zero, I may take it out prior to the BRD and see how it performs at 200yds.
The dial should track 168gr Match ammo just right. You are welcome to use it. I should also have a Knight's 2-stage Trigger in it tonight.

GotM4 is shooting my ar upper I built and I am doing the hand loads for him   All I will shoot is my Ghetto tactical rifle since my Mark 5 stock is not due untill the middle of September.

Benny - You are more than welcome to shoot my 700P .308. It has a Leupold 6.5-20x50 Long Range and a 2.5 lb. Shilen trigger. Oh yeah, it placed second by one point in the last BRD...
 Just bring some 168 grn Fed Gold Medal and I can tell you exactly what the drops will be at 150 and 200... |

Hey! No excuses here, you need to bring your rifle out. You can always try other people's rifles, but you need to bring more hardware for everyone else to see.

Perfect! Now I just have to find the ammo somewhere. Oh, and I'm a complete noob at this stuff so be gentle. EDIT: The ammo is Fedreal number: GM308M ? Or are there other flavors?SHIVAN- Thanks for the offer, if it weren't for FM, I'd accept. I shot that AR10 at the open house when we met. It's the main reason I've been stressing over which to get first, the bolt or the AR. |

If you are going to buy ammo, green top has the best prices on Federal GM308 168 BTHP.
Everyone I have checked charged a high price, may try Virginia Arms since Bernie carries it sometimes and if not, try Guns & Ammo buy the Manasas airport. I myself gave up on box ammo and just roll my own.
