It does make me sick but it appears to date back to 1990, look just below the article.

This public statement was released by the General Conference president, Neal C. Wilson, after consultation with the 16 world vice presidents of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, on July 5, 1990, at the General Conference
session in Indianapolis, Indiana.

old or new, it is sick.  the picture is even sicker.  it portray 2 men and a kids.  i am not sure what they are promoting with that kind of picture.  at first, i thought it was some sort of family picture of husband, wife, and kid; your typical family portrait of people reading books with kids.  i was quite shock when it was picture of 2 men instead of a man and a woman.  again, i am not sure what they try to promote.  i am fully aware that sick liberals think it is ok to be faggots.

sick sick people.

But I guess its ok to portray conservitves as  bigots? Remember, not everyone on here is anti gay. Latest studies do show that its genetic, not choice.

This is another example of why I am glad I am no longer an Adventist.  I was raised in that religion and am quite familiar with it, although I haven't attended an SDA chruch since 1986.  Back then, they were at least proud of their non-political position.  They viewed public policy discussions to be outside the mission of the church.

That picture in the corner most likely is not meant to condone homosexuality.  Read their statement on the issue.  They preach tolerance and love but still view it as a sin.  Love the sinner, hate the sin.

One final note... do you know what religion David Koresh was?  His church was a spin-off of the SDA church.  Most of my relatives are still SDA and knew some of the victims.

So it could be viewed as a genetic defect?

Being gay might be genetic, but what about the flamers that basically run around acting like complete morons during gay pride parades?  To me, they do more harm than good to the lifestyle.  When someone says they are gay, is the first thing that pops into your head two "normal" looking guys in a relationship?  No, it's the Village People Jello Orgy Gone Wild crowd that you think of.

Personally, I completely disagree with the gay lifestyle, but I do believe that each person is entitled to live their life how they please.  This is an arguement/discussion that's gone around in circles thousands of times before, and will probably continue to do so, but since I don't feel I should push heterosexuality on someone who is gay, then why should I have it pushed on me to accept it?

people say gay is a genetic things and they spent millions of dollars doing all kind of tests to determine that.  if you tell a lie many many times, you will try everything you can to make it become the truth.  that is my opinion.  there are gay people in vietnam too, only a very few percentage.  it is against the culture so those people just act fruity but they don't really do it, at least not so damn openly.  fagot is an condemed act over there.  lesbian thing doesn't exist until 5 years ago.  so i say it is a nurture thing and not a natural thing.

i don't hate gay people, i just hate what they do.  i think it is sick.  i can't understand how a man not enjoy a women performance and rather have the work done by the another man; same act but from different type of people.  that is sick sick sick.

liberal like fagots and dikes because those people are easily influenced and control.  you give them some right and they vote for you.  it is the same for illegal immigrants and ghetto people; you give a ghetto dude a cheese burger and or chicken wings  and he'll give you his revolver and 12 gauge, you give a gay dude a parade and he'll make sure he and all his gay friends vote for you.

Asianthug47,
A few posts ago you came on this board and said how you had been discriminated against due to your race.  Yet now you come on this board and bash and attack homosexuals.  That seems a little hypocritical to me.  While I'm not condoning there lifestyle I'm not going to deny them the chance to live it in peace either.  This is America land of the FREE.  That means free to do what you want not what others feel is socially or morally acceptable.  As long as you are not harmed by an action then it should be of no consequence to you.  If everyone would worry less about others beliefs and more about there own we would live in a better place.  If you feel that the restrictions placed on your lifestyle in vietnam were better there is no one stopping you from going back.  You say it is sick to commit homosexual acts many people think it is sick to own firearms maybe we should all turn in our guns because some people think it's not right.  No, we shouldn't and we should not be forced to hear the anti-gun arguments just like homosexuals should not be forced to hear the anti-gay arguments.  Now before you go off about how I'm a hippie-loving-pico-fag, let me give you some background.  I'm born and raised as a child of the US Army you name a region of the country and I've lived there.  I'm happily married to a women and have been for seven years.  I have no gay brothers and sisters nor friends.  So when you come back with some more ignorant shit make sure you keep the facts straight.

Hate to tell you this woodrow, but the homos arn't content being 'in the closet'. In some states, children read or have read to them books about same sex parents.

That IS harming my child, and I'll be damed if I allow that kind of BS to happen.

Fine I agree with you I stated in my post that some else's beliefs should not be forced on you this would naturally correlate to your underage children.  So I agree to a point.  I would have to see what the material was the context it was put out in and what the value the school system thought was in this.  I also think that one of the benefits to public school is that your children are exposed to a more various group of people thereby letting them learn more about the world before they go out into it.  Do you really want your children to live a sheltered life to the point that when they do grow up and move out on there own that they have no idea what the real world is like nor are capable of making responsible decisions due to the fact they have never been nor witnessed anything out of the "ordinary" before.  To sum it up if my Childs school was teaching that it was OK to be gay or live in a same sex relationship I would have a problem with that.  If my child's school was simply putting out that these things exsist in America today I would probably be ok with it depending on the age level it was presented at
