Anyone been to this show before?  Is it worth a fair drive?  I might head up on Saturday if the weather is bad.

Like ANGST I only attend the Bealton and Richmond (Showplace) shows. I'll be there.

Slim; It is a good show but nothing that you should not die without seeing. It is the best show within a 1 hour drive from my house. I wouldn't drive to much more than that to see it. But if you have nothing better to do on a rainy day its not bad.

quantico arms had a floor sample armalite bolt gun in .338 lapua for $1200 and one in .50BMG for ~$1,900.

Me i couldn't find my measly #4Mk1 no. 3 bolt head(well i found one for $45) or a beretta 92D mainspring, or .45ACP 230 gr bullets ( at least for much less than loaded ammo at walmart).

Sounds like I didn't miss much...The Lapua is interesting, but I can send a kid to college for what a box of em costs.

Yeah you didn't miss much. I was there scouting a new handgun purchase and my brother was looking for some Wolf for his AK. Didn't find any ammo and I think he bought a box of strippers.

Yeah that was a bit of a lame show. I too was looking for .45 230gr and came upo with nothing good. I bought some brass polish for my tumbler a 30 round USGI AR mag, and a .50cal bore brush.

My friend bought a Saiga .410 shotgun, so that'll be fun to play with :)

Wolf ammo currently seems to be sitting in customs.  At least that is the scoop I have heard.  VA Arms in Manassas has a little in stock if you need it now

I went with a buddy...he was trying to sell his SAR 2 and his Sig 226...we sold the SAR 2, but he was getting raped by the dealers on the Sig, so he kept it for the time being.

I managed to grab about 80 rounds of Garand ready LC M2 ball (supposedly), which was about all I could afford.  Those shows have really gotten lame since a couple of years ago.

BTW, if anyone wants the 226, let me know, I'll put you in touch with him.  Basically, there's only a couple of hundred rounds through it, he just finds it a little heavy for CCW, so he's selling it.  Trijicon night sights, and he's got the Crimson Trace grips for it, but he took them off to sell them separately.  Anyway, it's in the EE for $900 w/ everything, but I *think* we're gonna have to adjust that down to about $750.
