Starts once the sale is agreed upon.

So the waiting period starts when the sale is agreed upon, not when money is exchanged? ie: a buyer and seller could agree to a sale on the phone, wait 24/72hrs and then meet to exchange $ for a firearn? |

Yes. FTF, when you agree on a price, the waiting period begins.

Yep. Same as when I buy a gun at a store and they write it up, then I pay when I pick it up. |

When buying or selling guns privately I will usually write a receipt for both parties.
My receipt usually look like this... ____________________________________________________________________ 2/9/06 I___drobs___ Foid #________Expiration date_________ transfer this___ Colt Series 80 45acp 1911___ serial number___ __ to______Joe Blow_________Foid #______________ Expiration date_____________. X__signature________ X__signature________ |
