I told my brother in Illinois that here in Minnesota Dick's weekly ad has the 10/22 for this price.   Is it going for this amount in IL also?

Couldn't tell ya. I have been in there a couple times since it became Dicks and wasn't impressed with it at all. It was a much nicer store when it was Galyns. Best bet would be to look them up on google.

Yes  I have a copy of Dicks ad here in   front of me from Sundays tribune.  Ruger 10/22 10 shot hardwood stock,  
or a NEF  12 guage Pardner pump 28 " barrel 5 shot cap chambered for 2 3/4 -3" shells,
or a CVA Wolf package .50 cal breakactioncomposite stock 24 "barrel including accessories.
