Anyone going up for this?  I was there on Wednesday and saw the flier.  I asked the counter guy if it would be a big sale and how much I could save.  He told me they sell the ammo straight out of the truck, that they wouldn't get the prices until Saturday morning, and that almost all of the employees at GAT wait for the truck sale to buy their own ammo for the year b/c of the discount.

I think I'm going to go over and stock up.

Anyone else been to this in the past?

I'll be there Saturday morning.

They open at 10.

Nope.

The drive to and from would negate all savings.

I went last year.  Saved roughly 40% on my .40 S&W, paying about $7.40 per box of 50.  Same stuff in store goes for about 12.99-14.99. (depending on the store, of course)  Online best price I have found on this particular round is about $10.85.

If you go to buy alot, it is definately worth it.  No idea if they will have Q3131a this time around,
though.

I would love to goto the sale. I need .40 and .45. However I will be working at the range though.

I was a little dissapointed.

There wasn't any .45 and the only .223 in the truckload sale is silvertip, but inside they had plenty of Q3131A for 3.99/box and 179.00/case.

R U sure it's q3131a 5.56, and not .233? Because that's all I saw there a few weeks ago.

Well, it says "5.56mm" and "Q3131A" on the box...

It was right next to a few cases of .223, though.

Glad I didn't waste the time/money (gas).

Wouldn't .45 and .223 (with a plain 55 gr bullet) be like two of the most likely items to sell?

I just don't see someone going to a "truckload sale" for high end type ammunition.

Yes, It was Q3131A, I made it there at 4:00 and bought their last three cases at $192 each w/tax. It was not part of the Winchester sale. They had no .45 ball, .223 or 5.56 at the Winchester tent other than .223 balistic silvertip.

Its Q3131A/5.56mm.  I picked up a case also, pretty good price.  Then when I got home, I saw the case was short several boxes. I wish I had openend it, but it appeared taped closed at the store.  had

I was dissappointed with the no .45ACP and no 5.56 off the truck, but they had good deals on 40S&W, 9mm and some other rifle/shotgun ammo.  My dad had to go to the wal mart at the corner by GAT for WWB .45acp, it was pretty cheap for 100 round boxes but as always at walmart it takes at least 15 minutes for anyone who can open the case to show up.

HandyAndy just posted above that he bought the last three cases of it that they had. Might want to call ahead, but I doubt they have any more.

Sorry Nightwatchman. It just seems like right now 19 cents a round for the god stuff idn't that bad of a price, so I jumped on it. If anyone is interested I'll sell the case of IMI .223 55 gr. FMJ for what I paid for it, $191, plus shipping, but I would rather do a FTF.

Just want to say thanks to npd233 for picking up a case for me. Too bad his car "broke down", and he couldn't come out and play.
