What's this I hear about Illinois being kinda liberal for carrying a knife. Can anybody point me in the direction of the laws or specifics of the kind or size of knife I may legally carry concealed?

Chapter 720, section 21 (I think-this is from memory.)

Essentially, no gravity knives, no ballistic knives, no switchblades. There's no blade lenght limit, unless you intend to use the knife in a crime-then there's a 3" definition of a 'deadly weapon.' (Don't ask me how that makes sense, it's the way it's written.)

Chicago has MUCH more restrictive ordinances-I think their blade length limit is 2 1/2".....
