I know this is not a big deal to anyone, but I felt the need to crow...I rebutted a anti and got published on the editorial page @ the Peoria Journal Star!! And they didn't edit my letter or anything.

I R proud of myself....

Thanks, you may now return to your regularly scheduled afternoon routine

Congrats on getting published :-) Welcome to the club.

Guns make criminals fearful

                          August 24, 2004

Mona Gain (Aug. 19 Forum, "Permitting more guns
won't make streets safer") writes of her sorrow at
the loss of her friends, Kelly Houser and her daughter,
Amy Allen. I respect her bereavement. We should all
hope and pray for peace. Life would be great if there
                          were peace.

But there is little peace. A sad fact, one that we wish
were different, but there it is.

To be labeled "an idiot" for advocating firearms is
offensive and uninformed. I submit legalizing concealed
carry of firearms would accomplish one thing: Whether
you carry or not, you would still benefit, as the
criminally intent would have to face a chance of your
being armed. That is better than the near certainty
that you are not armed today.
