DALEY OPERATIVES TRYING TO GET GOVERNOR TO VETO HB0515

As reported in an earlier alert, HB0515 passed both the Illinois House and the Illinois Senate by very wide margins.

HB0515 would protect your privacy by requiring that law enforcement agencies notify you if any of your guns were traced by police departments.  The bill would also require that any records of the the traces be destroyed.

The notification requirement would only apply to cases that were closed and would not affect any open criminal investigations.

HB0515 is now sitting on Gov. Blagojevich's desk awaiting signature.  However, Daley operatives have been pushing the governor to veto the bill - despite its overwhelming support in the legislature.

Why would Daley want a privacy protection bill vetoed?  Draw your own conclusions...and they're probably all correct.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

1.  Call Governor Blagojevich's office today at (217) 782-0244 and politely, repeat-politely, ask the governor to sign HB0515 into law.

2.  Tell all your firearm owning friends and colleagues to call the governor as well.

3.  Please post this notice on any and all Internet bulletin boards to which you belong.

4.  Be polite.

5.  Be polite

Friz....good work man. I just got home from work and received the ISRA email alert. I was logging on here to make sure somebody beat me to posting  the info. Guys, heed the advice of the ISRA and FRIZ. Call the Governor and be polite. POLITE!!! We must conduct ourselves in accordance with the highest order of civility. Ask the Governor to sign HB0515 into law. This bill has already sailed through Congress. Let's burn up the phone lines and let's keep on our toes. And most of all, let's keep winning the battle to keep the Constitutional rights of law-abiding loyal Illinois Americans pure and free of harm.
God Bless America
