POS SOB is ripping off a legitimate company using counterfeit checks.

I strung him along over the week end hoping LE could do something about him so long as he continued to respond to e-mail.
But since the amount is small LE appears to have no real interest, "Not enough resources".
(Maybe they could redirect some of the "resources" they expend harassing FFL's?)

He still thinks I am going to wire him money, from a check I am not dumb enough to cash.

I want to send him a fake Money Transfer Control Number in the hope that he actually tries to collect from it, wasting his time.

Sure it's petty, so is my desire to finally tell him to go "F" himself.

This is precisely why these scum bags keep doing what they are doing. Unless they turn themselves in, or piss someone off with connections, they simply don't get arrested.

Anyway, if he sent that check through the mail, contact the postmaster, not the police. It seems like they only ever manage to get these guys on mail fraud anyway...

He sent it UPS.

The company he is ripping off wants his A$$, FBI, local LE, etc., just tell me to file a report at ic3.gov

So now crime DOES pay, so long as the take remains under six figures.

Well, don't break the law to get back to him. Crime only pays for criminals. People like you and I can get screwed just crossing the street wrong.

You can try contacting the news and try to embarrass the police into acting.

LE said that they had four other calls from others who had also made an effort to keep the e-mail connection alive for tracing.
Carefully documented all possible evidence, etc.
All by mid morning on Friday.
"We just do not have the resources to pursue these in light of the low probability of apprehension"

Much easier to create local criminals and man the speed traps than to pursue actual career thugs.
It's fraud, theft, counterfeiting, etc., I thought the Gov. Org. hated competition?

Maybe I will tell [email protected] that I lost all "his" money at the casino?
Wonder what his response would be, how would he threaten to get "his" money back?

This could be fun, I was just going to tell him to what a POS he is and to turn himself in, maybe ARFCOM can come up with better ideas?

I finally just sent an e-mail so insulting, that maybe he will come looking for me?

Of course that assumes he is even in the U.S.

Told him I was tired of playing with his dumb A$$, that his mother was is a pig and his father is also his brother.

Suggested he turn himself in.

Funny, no reply from him, he usually responded so quickly!
