Army Pvt. Joshua M. Morberg

20, of Sparks , Nev.; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; killed Dec. 27 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his dismounted patrol in Baghdad. Also killed was Spc. Lance S. Sage.

When my wife worked at Darnall Arny Community Hospital at Fort Hood, the average # of wounded flown back to Fort Hood is about 25 per week.  The wounding or death of every soldier is a tradegy.  We lost a friend in the 4th ID, he was a MSG with 28 years of service who volunteered (rather than retire) to go so that a young soldier could stay home.  He was killed 2 weeks after getting to Iraq.  My wife worked with his wife at Darnall Army Community Hospital.  

This is a very sore issue for this combat vet who has been there done that.
