I'm helping out with a bunch of kids in our Church and they want me to help plan some field trips. I'm not quite sure what they want to do so i compiled a list but want some more ideas. I already have..

1. Valley of Fire
2. Horseback riding at Mt Charleston/Red Rock
3. Delamar ghost town
4. Oatman AZ
5. Cathedral Gorge State Park
6. Grand Canyon Caverns
7. Bonnie Springs/Old Nevada

Any ideas what to do with a group of kids in town? Any place that might offer a discount to a church group?

Ethel M, Ocean spray. Both have tours that are free. There is also the pig farm, and Anderson Dairy. You could always have Jim Mayhugh teach them a firearms safty course.

I think the Ocean Spray tour is

from what I've seen on a few sites. I will ask about taking a few to the range but I'm new and ain't gonna rock the boat this early with talk of BOB's and guns.

Wasn't meaning take them to the range (all though that would be cool), Just strictly a hands on (or off ) safty course. Discussion only.

Maybe after a few seasons. They are still wary that I walk around with a knife clip exposed on my jeans. The maintenance guy asked me WTF I was wearing it for, I told him it could save a life someday.

-There's the Mormon Well trip, and the Spring right at the base of it. I can't recall what it's called. I did a search on the net, they say it's Corn Creek?

How is the Vegas zoo? I've been to the one in San Diego and Honolulu. but i wouldn't mind taking the kids to one locally located.

There is also an animal sanctuary on the way to Kingman ,AZ. Dont remember what it's called. The Las Vegas zoo sucks big green Donkey dongs, but is still better than a kick to the nads.

My wife's class goes to the Shark Reef and Rainforest Cafe every year, and have a blast while they are learning a little something.
