Here it is, in verbatim regarding the sunset legislation on the assault weapons ban.  I get the feeling it was a neutral fence sitting response:

Dear Mr. Txxxxx, <----hahaha

[begin letter]

Thank you for contacting me regarding the semiautomatic assault weapons ban.  I appreciate your taking the time to inform me of your views.

As you may know, in 1994 legislation was passed and signed by the President to ban the manufacture, transfer or possession of 19 types of models of semiautomatic assault weapons (if not lawfully possessed under Federal law on the date of enactment, September 13, 1994) for ten years.  The law also bans the transfer or possession of large capacity (more than ten rounds) ammunition feeding devices (again, not including those lawfuly owned on the date of enactment).

At this time, no legislation has been introduced to either extend, make permanent, or allow this ban to expire.  If and when legislation is introduced, I will be sure to keep your views in mind.

Again, thank you for writing me.  If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitste to contact me.

Sincerely,
Jon C. Porter

What's his email? I have met him a  youth shoot before he was elected. He is a very nice guy and was talking about how he hunts with his sons every year. He is very pro-second amendment.

Here's an easier way to hit 'em all at once:

capwiz.com/stickers/?dir=congressorg&lvl=C&azip=89011&x=19&y=14

Click on "compose your own message" and write away.

If Porter isn't your Rep, click "Elected Officials" up at the top end enter your zipcode and it will find them for you. It doesn't get any more painless than that.
