I got lazy and let the last thread die. There were some good spots mentioned in the last one, and this summer, I want to get out where I can set up my hammock or a tent for a few days during the week and fish, hike, and play radio with Parks on the air, and see the northern part of the state. Backpacking in is fun, but so is setting up a 6-8 person tent with a screen porch and just chilling by a nice lake or stream.
Hell, maybe we can get together somewhere and share stories and lies around a campfire. Doesn't have to be about guns, just getting out and having some fun.

Sailor lake by Phillips is in the national forest.   It was a great place the last time I was there.

I spend a lot of time in the Northern Highlands.

I canoe camp so it’s usually Bittersweet Lakes, Willow and Turtle Flambeau.

Bittersweet is nice as it’s by reservation in the summer and small lakes.  I hate paddling/trekking for miles hoping I find a vacant campsite.
