Any one of these will do an appraisal. Simpson Ltd will charge, not sure about Legacy. Checkpointcharlies is in Waupaca. You could also check out one of the forums on German pistols. The Luger forums, The P38 forums, The Walther forums , Jan Stills Luger forum.

What’s the purpose of the appraisal? Insurance where it has to be official? Own curiosity? Etc.

A Luger and P38
Both have matching numbers (per gun) Both have 5 digit ser #'s Looking for someone with the knowledge of manufacturing locations and grading percentages. |

You may be able to get all that info on the lugerforum, there are a fair amount of folks that also have P38's on the forum. If you look at the FAQ section on the forum you should be able to figure out the mfg date and place on your own. There is a lot of great info there. |
