Well it seems as this has taken off and not rotted away so I will chime in, milhonkey area. I know/recognize and reciprocal several member on site in person (including mod) but they are not participating in this discussion. ATM I cannot offer safe space to meet but am up to meet other like minded fellow enthusiasts.

I've been to one WI meetup but that was the before the purge some years ago. Doubtful any of those guys are still here. (Only member I can recall by name was the Dang! rootbeer guy.) |

I guess it's time for me to join in and I can assure you that I am a good guy. Several of you know me and my loyalty and beliefs for the right side are beyond reproach. As someone mentioned before, we did have a, I guess you could call it a "welding party" a while back, and although I don't recall the specifics, evidently there was someone there that very well could have been a FED or informant, probably looking to see if this "welding party" was for the purpose of manufacturing guns, IDK, maybe some sort of AK build party?

You know, I really can't figure why so many people are getting spooled up about this interweb crap. Seems to me the world still managed before it became so "necessary" to some. I rarely go on FB and when I do it's usually for something concerning the grandkids. And Twitter? never used it, never will. I guess I just prefer the telephone. Remember those? Maybe I'm getting to the point where I just don't give a shit anymore. I'll carry on as always and hope this country decides if they really like the commie way of life or if the country we grew up in is worth saving. I hope I'm feeding the worms before the brown shirts come stomping around. I just feel sorry for my kids and grandkids if things keep going downhill.

Only ever met one guy.
I don't see him post anymore and I've passed him in some of the facilities I service, as he worked for a company that was a vendor also at a few facilities I service. First time I met him, he came up and introduced himself to me at Cabela's in GB. I happened to have my BFL hat on. Parrothead was his screen name. I believe he got sick a few years ago. I hope he is well. I helped him out with a carpenter ant job on his house. Super nice guy. |

But here's the thing. It's not about you. Or me. The internet is the single greatest tool that allows the largest amount of like minded people to organize and communicate in the shortest amount of time. So when liberal/leftist/marxists organizations start targeting (eliminating) communication platforms dominated by conservatives, en masse and in tandem, you need to ask yourself why. I seriously doubt they care about our mental health and want us to spend more time outside. |

For a few years we had annual WI HTF fun shoots at Shiocton and then Shawano where we saw each other face to face but it became more of a burden than fun for the group organizing it so the events did not continue.

There's no practical way of truly vetting anybody. You could eat every Sunday dinner at someone's table and still not truly know them. Every organization has "that guy" and, more than likely, 10 of "those guys" who would throw you under the bus for an atta boy from Uncle Sam. Best just to know that every word you say (and some things you probably don't actually say) are going to be repeated out of context. So don't say or do stupid stuff and you'll most likely be fine!
