Not sure if this is sloppy journalism, or whether the guy couldn't tell that a *revolver* was loaded.

The bullet had traveled through the man’s kitchen window to the neighbor’s house, where it went through the screen and storm doors and down a hallway before lodging in a third door inside the home, police said.

My ND ricocheted off the table and into my ceiling.  I checked that it didn't leave the house or I'd have called the police myself.

There was a deputy I heard about that had 2 NDs (spaced years apart) in his apartment in Louisiana that ended up in other's folks home.

There is a bunch of empty space.  It's unlucky and unfortunate when anyone gets hit with a stray bullet.

The person who pulls the trigger "owns" the bullet and the consequence.  Here though I think they're being a bit harsh.
