Charlie Milazzo is a member of the American Pistolsmiths Guild and a very very good 1911 smith. He works in East Troy Wisconsin. Let me know if you want his number.

this maybe dumb question but can you put front strap serrations/lines on a alum frame 1911.

B, yes you can have them added. I had asked about it once and seem to remember that they would only do 30lpi, lines or stippling on aluminum famed guns. You then have to have the frame re-anodized. its a big $$ process. You can always use 1" 3m brand non-slip tape from the hardware store, or the "bolt" on checkered front strap.

The trigger breaks at about 4 lbs. The reset is long due to the design of the HP.
I have a twin built on an aluminum frame FN model. Very light. Jeff |
