Well?

I'd kinda not like to do it in the middle of winter again.  The snowstorm kinda put a damper on things.

Plus, if it's during the summer I can ride my bike and not spend $100 in gas to get there.

OK, Sept 13th it is

23rd of August works out great for me.  It's my regular day off...anyone else?

Oh, and in light of JTP's dinner pic threads I vote we have it at his house.

Negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full. We're remodeling and have a baby on the way so it would be a bit much for the misses and myself. . I could help with cooking if we went the bbq direction and I was able to attend.

I think I have a weekend free in December if that will help. Of course I will have to check with my wife, Tommytrauma (my other social director), and FMD (my duck hunting buddy) to determine if I have any other weekends off.

How about 23 Aug?

Remember, we were trying to avoid the whole December thing...bad weather and to cold to ride the motorcycle.

I know it doesn't help this time around, but next year if I do another pig roast you all are invited.

Golden Corral in Oshkosh, Plover or Appleton all have a meeting room that would seat around 50 people and costs nothing to use them.

Buffet style restaruant cost around 10.00 per person plus drink.(non alcoholic)

Well here is how it goes.

When a guy asks for help and people volunteer, you tell them about a little more work they might need to help with and boom it's a ghost town.  crickets........

I am sorry wrong thread.

Anyway WIHTF guys and gals get together eat drink and be merry. BS a bit then go home.

40 say they are coming, 37 bow out in the last 2 days before the dinner. Then the core group shows up and pretends it's someones birthday so the staff can sing happy birthday to them. All the while the "birthday" boy is confused and getting pissed.

It's a good time.

Bottom line a bunch of Arfcommers get together and eat a good meal (usually steak *hint* *hint* if I wind up making it) and sit around shooting the breeze for a little while. It is basicly just to try and get to know a few people on the board other than the few whack jobs I have met.

It is a good time and pretty relaxed (besides that it gets my wife off my back about taking her out to eat for a little while).

OK, sounds like it has been decided, (if not I guess I just made an executive decision) it's going to be 23 Aug.  Now where are we going to have it?  None suggested the fox valley so everyone there didn't need to drive as far.  That's fine with me I'm driving either way.  Preference seems to be a decent sit down place, not buffet if possible.  Apparently we have a germophobe or two in our midst.

I know we had talked about a pizza place of some sort last time...

Ok steak it is, are we talking a place like Grizzlies or Applebees?
Or another steak place?
We have set the date, Aug 23, but how about the time and place?
I'll drive a ways, but at 17 miles per gallon I don't want to be driving to Kenosha and back.

Me and the sidekick are willing to travel from Madison up to the Fox Valley for this thing so everyone else can suck it up and come out and meet with us. I know Pita travels a long way as well to come out and see all you deadbeats.

If you can find a couple of people from your AO you can always carpool (as long as the people you are carpooling with chip in for gas).

They drove from Cudahay to Beloit to Madison, and then back the same way.

Guessing they had a longer trip.

BTW, Flamethrower started the midget conversation (for some reason, he's got a complex about his height). *shrug*

I may have participated in the mushroom caper, but only in retaliation for it being foisted upon me first.

Now the birthday deal, that one I'll take credit for, but only to protect the SO of the intended target (it was her idea).
