She got me this

and came home with 400 rnds of 223 and 600 rnds of 45 acp. She walked in and said "sorry hun this is all they had"

She then proceeds to fix a really good roast beef dinner with all the trimmings.

I am wondering what I did to deserve all this.

Two things.

1. WOW! What a bunch of crap I can see in the reflection.
2. You didn't do anything good. She's been REALLY bad and she feels guilty.

That nice of her to buy you the stack on.The truth is that style of safe won't protect your guns or valuables from a thief. You need a heavy safe with  s&g lock.

Thats a nice cabinet.  I wouldnt mind something like that.  I do need someplace to put my firearms.  Im not looking for theft deterrance, however a rack to put them on would be nice.  Something cheap.  Just someplace I can store them.  Does anybody have any ideas?

Personaly I have always prefered to stay away from gun racks (to easy for would be theives to grab as they go by).

This is not the best but at least they have to work a little to get to anythign important. It is bolted to the floor and to the wall.

Nother thing is that it is hard to keep moisture down with a gun rack. Much easier to trow a silica pack in with even a gun locker like mine than to keep the moisture down in the whole house. I am kinda a stickler about rust (unlike FMD ) and would hate to have a gun sitting there rusting away inside because I missed a spot with oil.
