I was wondering if there has been any discussion on a 2006 edition, of the Frozen Nuts Shoot. The shoot which was held in Feb. of this year was a great time, even with the rain and ice. Tattoo was responsible for getting things organized, and did a fine job. Since he no longer is the Mod of the Wisc. Forum, is someone else going to get things going for a 2006 shoot?

You don't have to be a MOD to host a shoot, or organize an event.
Tat? How about it? bulletcatchR |
It wasn't my nuts, instead my feet that were frozen at that shoot.I'd be game except this time I will come well prepared for any conditions.I'll even bring a strap for those ILL. guys who don't know how to drive
I was just up here behind the cheddar curtain checking on the progress of your CCW bill. Good luck on that, us FIBs will be green with envy if you get it passed. Then I saw this post, when and where is the frozen nuts shoot? If you need a strap it sounds like fun!
Damn FIB's want us to have to pull them outta the ditch again... Up for it, as long as I'm not working. ETA: HandyAndy: The WI crew had to pull a driver from the Daly State out of the ditch last year. No offence (well, not much) meant to our freinds behind enemy lines. |
Not just a flatlander but yours truely as well. That little road comming in was just way to damn icy. I went to the high side and just slid on down off the road. |

I will be sure to bring the straps and chains along this time, just in case. I also have a 9500 lb capacity winch on the front of the Jeep now.
Where is this shoot at?
And as long as we're talking 4x4s and winches and stuff, do you cheeseheads have a place to go off roading? I have an old Dodge M37 w/ a V8 and 38" boggers and I need somewhere to play with it. In spring, not now it has a canvas top and no heater so it gets mucho cold in there in the cold weather. I used to have a place to go off-roading and shooting in Iowa, but the guy sold the property. Four wheeling, bustin' caps and smoking fine cigars. It does get better than that, but not much. Can you post something in the flatlander HTF to let us FIBs know when your going to have this shoot? Thanks, Andy |
IIRC the first couple were at the yellowstone range. I've only been to one and it was a fun little shoot. As soon as we get it p[lanned and everything I'm sure it will be cross posted. |
I'm up for this again!
I still have the 9mm from last year that I didn't get to shoot. Hopefully someone will bring the full auto toys. |
tag because I wasn't at the last one, and I haven't shot enough lately. Besides, I want to see Photoman's suppressed .22
I have pictures of that somewhere That was a blast - Man did we go through the ammo! I think my Krink is still warm |
I may be able to help ya out with that |
I just got some new longjohns.
Sadly, I damaged my nuts back in 97 at a Packers/Bears game. I do like shooting in WI. though. JR |
I have very fond memories of double tapping a Barret M82 at last years!
Wasn't someone bumping that Barret? |
*drools* Can I come? :) |

Where is this going to be at . Fullauto for me . BANG BANG KABOOM.
hey man iv been working 12-18 hours a day 7 days a week i dont realy have time to plan it. now my dad in for surgery and jessi's preg agine its been really busy i feel like a 3 peckers goat if you wanta pick a date i can probley make it and might be able to bring a 10x10 easy up but i only have a honda civix now so i dont have the room for the grill and extra shit like last time i "might" be able to bring a wrecker there to pull the fib's out of the snow bank ray |
I need to get out and shoot. I would go assuming I am free that weekend. I have a truck to pull people out if need be. I have a good clay target thrower for anyone who wants to shoot trap. Not sure how well it works in the cold. I don't want to break it, but I can give it a try.
I have a small weber grill. Just a little one I can bring. Hey I'll bump fire a Berret. |
Sad to here about your nuts! To days CMP shoot was no cake walk Aye? |
Tat - sounds like a MINI-VAN is in order for you and a new baby! lets pick a date soon. |
You betcha. Being around all those hardy CMP shooters caused them to drop all the way back down. JR |
We have to talk Kasnar into bringing the barrett again...
I'll be there again if at all possible. |
As far as dates go, I am guessing that a Saturday would work best for all interested parties. That being the case, if the shoot is held in February like last time, it would be the 4th, 11th,18th, or 25th.
I do not know how to put up a poll, but I think that would be the way to find out what date works best for everyone. If anyone else has something to add, go for it. |
Vaportrail. Up top where it says reply/new topic/forward/subscribe, it should also say add poll. It will only say that if yer the one that started the thread, and since you are, it should. Just hit that and you can post a poll.
Yer welcome sir. Now I just got to figure out which dates work best for me. |
Im in for it. I put Feb 18, but I am flexible. Ill keep my eyes open for what date you guys actually choose.
I just voted for Feb 18th. I don't think I helped much though.
[ 3 ] Feb. 4 [ 25% ] [ 3 ] Feb. 11 [ 25% ] [ 3 ] Feb. 18 [ 25% ] [ 3 ] Feb. 25 [ 25% ] [ 3 ] Other [ 25% ] Anyway, I don't really care. The only date that for sure will not work for me is Feb 11, since I will be at SHOT show! Any idea on where it will be? Yellowstone is close to me. |
I would be there for sure, and bring two more to help push fibs out. Is this going to be at RCLRC?
Wouldn't RCLR be a good place to have it? Shelters and all. |
Nope not centralised enough. |
If the shoot is going to be at the same place as last time, it will be at the Yellowstone Lake State Park Rifle Range.
The range is on Hwy F, about 1/4 mile from the main entrance to the park. Does anyone have the contact info for AJ? Would be cool to have some C3 toys there. |
It was a great place to shoot. |
i had his email addy but lost it..i normaly bump in to him at the shows |
19/Dec - Jan 2 I go back to Ft Eustis on the 3rd |
Hey guys...I don't think I've posted here at all before, but I'd be in for some cheesy shooting!
I voted for the 11th as I have it off, I also have th 4th off. I think I could probably get a couple more dudes on my team to show up as well. The more 11.5" full autos the better! |
You've only made two other posts, you don't remember what they where..Just F ing with ya. The last shoot was great, we just need to pick a date for this one. |
For you RCLRC Members The Annual meeting is on the 25Th |
Judging by the poll votes, Feb. 18 will be the day.
Is everyone in agreement, or should the poll be left up for a while longer? Tat mentioned last year, that moneys were put in the donation box at the range. I would guess that the same will be done this time. |
i used to have the mailing addy for a guy on the board that runs yellowstone range i used to mail the money to him..il try to find the card |
Feb. 18 will be the date.
The shoot will be at the Yellowstone Lake State Park Rifle Range. 0900-? will be the time. Hope there is a good showing. I'll put postings in the Ill, and Minn forums. |
I soo much want to do one of these. Dont have any of the more "entertaining" toys like some of you clowns. Just probably bring my P89, bushy, Rem700 .300win and a moss500 12ga. May be able to snag a .44mag revolver. Honestly havent shot them since last deer season. Never had time to go shoot since the local pit got shut down.
BTW would bringing a camera be fine? Wanna see if the 1/8000 shutter speed on this DSLR can photograph a bullet in flight. |
Cameras are not a problem.
Some guys brought cameras at the last shoot. Somewhere in ARFCOM, there is a thread with lots of pics from the last shoot. |
