I was just at the gander on 27th and they had olympic ammo on sale for $3.97 for a 40round box. Price comes to be about $100 for 1000 rounds. Just thought I would pass it along.

How's the ammo compare with Wolf as far as consistency and load strength?

Sealed case necks and primer pockets?

I hear Olympic is bad news.

That's what I've heard as well, but they may have corrected whatever the problems were.
Was hoping for a first hand account.

The primers look sealed, the neck dosent. I picked up a couple box's to see how they are. I havnt shot any of it yet. I may head out saturday and shoot some of them. I gotta test out the SKS. I think i fixed it finaly.

T-J I figured out why I was getting light primer strikes on the AK. I was using E-clips to hold the trigger pin in place, but those dont hold it tight enough to i ran and got some differnt clips to hold that and the hammer pin in place and now everything works fine.

My thought was that the disconnector missed the hammer every so often, resulting in hammer-follow.
Dunno how the e-clips on the pins would effect that.

Next range session, we can investigate it a little further.
