Went to a Brewers game last night for the first time since County Stadium was torn down. I had been in Miller Park one other time before this, but they were still building it. I don't like Miller Park. County Stadium was so much better. Maybe it's because of all the memories from when I was a little kid going to games with the family, or it could be because I have to pay a special tax so they could build Miller Park for Milwaukee's baseball team, one that I'm not even a fan of. I'm sure some of you feel the same way on that one.  Yah County Stadium was old, but I don't care, I still liked it better.
Oh yah:
What the hell is up with the cheerleader/dancer chicks? What the hell is happening to baseball??

All I can say is.....

There is/was nothing like a good Packer game at County Stadium!!

I will pay attention to the Brewers stats and how they are doing but they have lost my patronism since since MLB has gone on strike twice now.  I am not a fan of primadonna's that feel they need to get paid more when they get paid more than enough already.

you're crazy!  I've been to Brewer, Cubs, and White Sox games  (not to mention around the entire US) for the past 20 years.  I'm a baseball fanatic so to speak, and I can tell you with no uncertainty that Miller park is heads and above old County Stadium and possibly the best baseball park I've been to.  County Stadium was an absolute dump.  Seats were bad, sound system terrible, and you were too far away from the field.

As for the cheerleaders?  Must've been something special going on, haven't seen them at 13 other games I've to this year.

Couty Stadium may have been a dump but there was just something special about that place. i spent the last season of it's existance as a photo intern with the Brewers. I have a lot of really good memories of that ballpark. Miller park is just to damn commercialised for me. To much shit that just isn't "Milwaukee", or the Brewers.

Not to mention the fact that i'm still pissed about having to pay additional taxes for that mostrosity when I'm not a fan and I don't live in Milwaukee.

Aren't they gonna send out free tickets to all Racine/Kenosha residents who are stuck paying for their stadium?

Fuck the Brewers, they're an awful team that I don't like as well as having to pay a stupid sales tax to pay for a beautiful stadium that an awful team plays in.

Go Cubs.

I don't think I've been to a Brewers game since they had the old glove logo.

Thats what I'm talking about.

To bad they suck ass this year, oh well maybe once they get rid of Dusty things will get better.

The brewers problems weren't that they are a bad team, they just had shitty owners. Things are actually looking pretty good for them shit season. If they can pull ther heads out of their asses long enough, they might just finnish above .500 hell they could have an outside chance at a wild card. I wouldn't hold by breath though. But they do seem to be moving in the right direction.

One good thing about the stadium is that Kenosha is not one of the five counties with the added tax for it.  Baseball is all about which teams have the highest payrolls.  Which makes it very unintersting, IMO.

Damn you Kenosha bastards!

If I gotta pay for a stadium I'll never go to, then I should at least get free tickets.

I went there a few months ago for the Brewers/Yankees game. I got some free tickets. Its $6 for a beer, $3 for a bottle of water. Every other thing over the PA is an advertisement to buy something or what something is sponsered by. The only part of the entire game that I can remember is the sausage races.

I am paying a tax for the stadium, I had like $24 seats, I am paying a 300% markup on everything there and then advertising is still jammed down my neck everywhere at the game.

The stadium looks cool, but I honestly dont think its worth the money.
