Where the hell are all the WI ARFcommers located in Wisconsin?

I live in Baraboo, small city of about 20,000 people including West Baraboo (Havent questioned any LE about NFA items yet)
Closest range is $30 per year gated and padlocked, staple targets to partical board thats held in place with posts and has 4 berms furthest being just under 200 yds.
No range officer on site unless one of the board members is there shooting.

Back to the original question:
Where the hell are you located? (Dosent have to be too specific obviously)

Waukesha has a decent gunshow once or twice a year dont they?
I usually hit the Marriot show in Madison and the Fon du Lac/Oshkosh shows whenever possible.
I dont venture too much towards Milwaukee unless its a Brewers game.

Because I don't sleep. I get off work at like 12, and play counter-strike, or surf arfcom before heading to bed.

janesville (sucky GM town).

No decent ranges.
Beloit gun club is snooty. 1 shot at a time, no mags inserted into rifles.
The gravel pit on Newville Rd got closed down after some stupid kids were shooting over teh top of teh pit and hit a house 1/2 mile away.
Eds near Whitewater is OK. He has mood swings at times. (rapid and auto allowed last tiem I was there)

What happened to that indoor pistol range--the one in the warehouse district, poorly lit & ventilated, but open to keyed members?  The club was going to build a new building when I left the area...

I am in Beloit.
The 1 shot at a time / no mag in weapon rule only applies during sight in days before Deer season. This is the only time that the club is open to the public. A lot of the boneheads who show up to sight in their rifles, do not know how to operate their weapon. The 1 shot rule is for safety.
I know what I speak of on this, as I have been a member there since 1985, and volunteer to work the sight in days every year. During the rest of the year when the club is not open to the public, you can use as big a mag in your weapon, as you want. The only thing asked, is no simulating full auto fire ( bump firing ).

Glenn, I think that range is still by GM.

And Vapor, after seeing how a couple of the people there acted (which isnt all of them, but these guys will give people a bad taste about the club) towards people with 'unconventional' hunting rifles...

Example.. I just put a scope on my dads Enfield a few years ago . So I went to sight it in at the open sight-in. Even when I do sight in's at the places I normally go I load it one at a time (even my semi-autos). But with the scope on this rifle, I need teh mag inserted or the round falls down the well since I cant get my fingers under the base well enough. After telling this 'range guy' that this happens, I had to show him. 5 min later I had the mag in. But after I got it on paper at 50 and reasonably on I took a break. A kid walked in with a sportsterized SKS and some old fart (70's) on a chair started berating the kid for having those 'damn military rifles that no one should own' crap. If that was my kid I would had gone off more than what I did (kids dad just said nothing). Walked over to the rack, grabbed teh enfield, looked at him and told him "THIS is a military rifle and are you gonna bitch at me also?".  Kinda the last straw. Had issues with that place 2 yrs before also and I know a few other people who had issues there.

Rob,
You are right about some of the guys at the Beloit range. Their way of thinking is that if you do not have an uber, super custom, one of a kind elite hunting rifle like theirs, with $600 optics on it,  then you ain't shit. I have had a run in with them out there as well, I just basically tell them to pound sand up their ass.
Have a nice day.

Hey Guys. New to the forums, and just moved back to Madison.

ANyone know of any ranges nearby? Driving to a friends farm up in Portage is getting old.
