Qwest, Think of it as Sprint, but with a great customer service program if you are looking for a nation wide program.
The local program can be a bit spotty/spendy like the rest of the providers if you don't sign up for the no roaming charges then use the phone is different areas/states.
The 1000-minute nation wide program with no roaming is around $60, and they have just added night (after 9 pm) and weekend calls for free. From coast to coast, I have had no problems with signals, and the calls are very clean (again the no roaming package will connect the phone to any digital tower in the area and use it as a home tower).
As for a phone with them, look into the M-500. They should be able to work it so you get the phone for free (knocking money off the phone, and the rebate if it's still in play).
P.S. Don’t bother with the Internet service on the phone. It’s only good for spending money downloading crap at a price. The 500 can download about anything you want from your computer, and with a 2g-memory card ($29 from office depot), you can go buck wild adding music, videos, games, and even use the phone as a blue tooth or USB jump drive.
