Pistol in April, Carbine in May, and Pistol and Carbine in Sept (with the Sept class you can take just the pistol, just the carbine, or both classes). Questions have come up in the past about my involvement with the trainers / training companies that I host. I am NOT affiliated with any of these groups and don't make any money off the classes. I just get a free slot in the class for all the trouble I go through in hosting the class. My main motivation for hosting the classes is so we can train at a reduced cost, but having the classes here in colorado it cuts down on the cost of travel, time off work, lodging, time away from home, food costs, transporting ammo, etc. I first started hosting classes locally in 2001 after I figured out that a 3 day trip to Gunsite was going to cost me over $3,000 (by the time I factored in travel, lodging, time off work, shipping ammo, food, tuition, etc.) If you have any questions on any of the training feel free to contact me directly at [email protected] |

IMPORTANT INFO, EVERYONE PLEASE READ!!!!!!
-Range Fee's (non-members) / Membership Cards (PWSA members) MEMBERS of the Pueblo West Sportsman Association: Please bring your PWSA MEMBERSHIP CARD with you to class. I will have a class roster that everyone will have to sign in on. Due to prior problems I am required to see your NEW / CURRENT PWSA membership card or collect a $25 per day of training range fee from you. If you don't have your PWSA membership card on the first day of class you will be requred to pay the range fee. NO EXCEPTIONS NON-MEMBERS of the PWSA: If you are not a member of the Pueblo West Sportsman Association range, I have to collect a $25 PER DAY OF TRAINING (2 days = $50, 3 days = $75, etc) RANGE FEE from you on the first day of class. If you have paid for the class vai credit card, the range fee was not charged to your card. I have the responsibility of collecting the $25 per *day of training* range fee that I have to give directly to the President and Board of Members of the Pueblo West Sportsman Association. The range fee will be collected (in full) at the beginning of class during student sign in. I will only be accepting PERSONAL CHECKS and MONEY ORDERS made out to the Pueblo West Sportsman Association for the range fee. (CASH AND CREDIT CARDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AS PAYMENT FOR THE RANGE FEE) -ACCESS TO THE RANGE Non-Members of the PWSA please gather at the front gate (in a group) and wait for a PWSA member that is attending the class to let you into the range. DO NOT TRY TO FOLLOW OTHER PWSA MEMBERS THAT ARE NOT PART OF THE CLASS INTO THE RANGE!!! Once inside the gate take the road to the right and go directly to Range #2 (second range from the right). Please do not go to the other ranges un-escorted, PWSA has a strict policy that all non-members must be escorted by a member at all times. Remember this is a private range that is kind enough to let us use their facilities for this class. Please respect other members of the range, remember we are guests of the PWSA (if there is a problem please let me know so I can get the problem resolved). The only way I can keep hosting courses at the PWSA is if we have a good working relationship with the membership / board of the range. PWSA MEMBERS: Please let students in the front gate and direct them to range #2. If someone would please man the front gate until all our students are in (as we have done it in the past) it would be greatly appriciated. -LUNCH / START TIME Please bring your lunch both days, we will break for lunch, but there will not be enough time to leave the range to go an get lunch at a fast food resturant. On 10-8 website they list the class as being the intermediate operators course, course description here is for the basic operators course.
Which class will be offered ? |
|
Basic Pistol Operator's course, but it is my understanding from TimL that we will progress into / cover some of the intermediate material after everyone is up to speed.

I have gotten a few emails about the 10-8 Consulting class. 10-8 is a fairly new company with instructors who have been in the training game for a while (Tim Lau, Pat Rogers, Daryl Boyle, Ben Lenett, Rob Haught, to name a few)

Just some food for thought....If you are considering taking a training class in 2007, you may want to start getting ammo NOW!!!
Many ammo manufacturers are back logged 6+ months on ammo shipments. |
|
|
As an additional treat, Col. Robert K. Brown, owner and publisher of Soldier of Fortune Magazine, will be attending the 10-8 Consulting Pistol Operators Course.

Email came out this morning, the 10-8 pistol class is canceled, lack of interest.
It appears there are 5 of us signed up... How many needed to hold the class, 10 ? 12 ? anyone on the fence ? if so, sign up, lets see if we can get class re-instated. This was my one training opportunity for 2007. Really hate to miss it. |

Gents,
Thanks for the support. I've been hosting classes since 2000 and this is the first time we have ever had to cancel a class for any reason. Unfortunatley I had to notify the range that the 10-8 Consulting Pistol Operators class was canceled so they could make that range avalible to other members. Thus we no longer have a range even if we got enough people to sign up at this late date. I first announced this class back in Aug of 2006. There was plenty of time for students to sign up. Unfortuniately we didn't get enough students to make this class happen. Hopefully next year. There is still room in Larry Vicker's September class and Pat Rogers (May) class is full but they have started a stand by list for Pat's class. Semper Fi Jeff |

Only a couple slots avalible Semper Fi Jeff |

Only a couple months left. A few slots are still avalible. Semper Fi, Jeff |

Larry Vicker's class is a month away. Still have a few slots avalible. Hope to see some of you there!!!

Jeff, (or anyone else?) Any idea where is the closest hotel? I'm signed up for the Sept class, but I'm still trying to decide which hotel room to book. Best options now appear to be the Super 8 off Hwy 50 W or La Quinta off N Elizabeth St? Thanks in advance |
|
|
La Quinta is nicer and just as close to the interstate as the Super 8.
There are 2 motels (nice) just off exit 102 (Eagleridge). One is a Ramada / Hampton Inn (in the process of a name change from one to the other, but I can't remember which is the old name and which is the new). And I can't remember the other motel. I'll get the names and post them tomarrow. -Jeff |

LAST CALL
A couple slots still avalible. Class starts Saturday. You can attend either course or both courses (pistol / rifle) Hope to see some of you there -Jeff |
