I think Nextel has the best coverage. But they are costly.

According to the latest CR, Verizon, hands down, both in terms of service and lack of complaints.  None of the others were even close.  They polled several thousand people nationwide, as I recall.

I never had a problem with Nextel. Never had to call them about anything. Thier coverage is the best.

AT&T Wireless

NexTel is ok too.

What ever you decide, make sure that the phone does both digital and analog, a lot of areas from Greeley north have only analog.

the wife & I like Verizon, Winemaster likes AT&T, but all of us dislike Sprint. Big gaps, especially up north.

I have everybody else and use sprint.
The one big thing though about them is that they have this roaming thing that if your out of their area
you can pay 5 bucks a month more and then you can use half of your air time without any charges.
I travel alot and for the most part sprints covage has been great but their are those dead spots that being able to automaticly change over to another carrier and not be billed for it really helps out.

I have Verizon, and I get decent recpeption, when not on the Academy.  They kind of screwed me on the deal with the phone, but that was partially my fault.  I hear the Cingular ate up one of the carriers, so the coverage is pretty good.  Honestly, more and more and more (for me) the phone dictates the service.

My buddy says that Sprint blows, on average I get 2 bars more than him in his appt, hardly scientific, bit still.  And all I have is a cheap to mid priced LG flip phone.

Anywho, good luck!!

I have Cingular.  They just merged with ATT.  My coverage is great and they say its going to get even better when they merge the 2 providers.  I've had my Cingular service for over 6 years.

Sprint sucks.
AT&T is good, I think the best coverage, but not the greatest cust. svc.
I have Verizon now, they're ok, but still some gaps.
Nextel would probably be best for northern Co, but I haven't tried them.

I have had Verizon for three years now and the coverage area is fairly decent.  I live on the east side of Colorado Springs and have never had a real problem.  I hunt up near Craig and Kremmling and can usually get a signal way out in the boonies.
