It'll cost another $20 to register you car in Seattle
Panel approves fee increase to pay for transportation projects

Beginning May 1, registering a vehicle in Seattle will require an extra $20.

The Seattle Transportation Benefit District, which is made up of City Councilmembers, on Monday approved the $20 increase.

What Im asking is, why cant you go to say Yakima and register your car there, with your current address....will all tag places, charge you the fee or just inside Seattle city limits.......or...get a addres in another town.....Drivers lic in WA are crazy easy to do..

Not true, you can register just about anywhere.  All you need is to fill out the appropriate form, have it signed by a Notary Public (in the location your trying to register it from) and it's GTG.  That's what I had to do when I bought a Truck in Fl, but had to register it from out of state in Wa.

The DOT started cracking down on people registering their car and trucks at relatives houses on the east side because of the smog checks. If the address is on your drivers license then you are GTG, but otherwise you're stuck.
