Yup, it is time for a good old fashioned rant from me, with spelling and punctuation errors even! YAY!

Game on.

So, 10 months now at the new job. Been great so far except for having to deal with living through the fucking joy of 2.....count ';em......2 douchebag maintenance manger who did not know thier fucking assholes from a damn hole in the ground! Yup........2 weeks ago they fired another one after only 5.5 fucking months! This cockstain was such an idiot.........I spent 5 goddamn months doing his job and my job and the whole time being pissed that they hired his scurvy ass right off the fucking street as i was not eligiable for promotion untill i had been with the company for 6 months.......oh well, it was their fucking loss and they learned that lesson!

So, this time, I submitted my name for the manager gig but of course there is some other cum covered gutter snipe at a Seattle property......with less experience but more seniority with the company who wants the gig so guess what? He gets it! Yea, another fucktard with limited knowledge trying to run the fucking show.........oh well, I can deal with that shit as always......do what I do get the shit done.......at the end of the day I look good.

The fucked up part about it is...........because he is taking the gig AND moving onto the property, I am losing my kick as "designated maintenance discount". For 6 months we have lived here at $164 a month (with a lower hourly). Well, the way this fucked up shit works is the senior maintenance guy gets first crack at the designated discount........the managers here did not live her so we were able to use it. Now this stanky ass cockstain (who already has the same discount at a Seattle property) wants to move on site so October 5th my discount goes the fuck away. So, I can take advantage of the normal 20% discount offered all employees.............okay, more than we wanted to pay but since my other discount goes away, my wage goes back up to what it was when I started.........oh, but there is a catch! In order to take the 20% I have to qualify just like any other Joe off the fucking street for an apartment............well that was a big fucking FAIL! I was rejected.......year out of work did not help then there is the $4500 med bill from the kidney stones I have been slowly paying on. Long story short.........Oct 5th my discount goes away and since I did not qualify, we have to vaccate the damn unit and turn keys in on that date. Good news, Oct 5th my higher wage is restored but not in fucking time to be able to get enough money together to find another goddamn home!! So, I have just under 60 days to find a new place we can qualify for and move into with whatever movein cost, actually move and do it all on the lower wage...........which we have been just squeeking by with! FUCK ME! So I am supposed to just shit out a bunch o cash in a heart beat. Lets not forget the fucking fact that School starts in September and unless we find a place we CAN get into in the Bothell area that we will have to pull the kids out of school a month after they start and enroll them into whatever fucking school we end up near.

Yea, I am royally fucked.

Oh, and in the meantime guess what dumbfuck gets the joy of getting a unit ready for the cockstain that is making us loose our home? Yup........me.

Yup, royally fucked beyhoind belief.

Wonderful day to be me!

So, anyone know of any 3 bedroom rentals, let my dumbass know.

Carry on.

Is there a reasonable human being you can talk with to get a waiver?

If not, besides looking for a new home, maybe you need to also look for a new job.  Of course you don't quit the job you have until the next job is lined up.

BTW, it does you no good to talk ill of bosses or co-workers on the internet.  There is more than a passing chance it will bite you in the ass.

So, a small glimmer of hope.................

Been talking with the employee housing director over the past couple of days and there is a way we can stay here and not have to move.........if we get a cosigner.

Since it is an employee housing contract and not a lease, it is a month to month agreement. If we secure a co-signer, they could remove thier name from the housing contract at any time which would mean that we would then have to qualify on our own once again.

So we have began contacting people's we know in the hopes of finding someone willing to co-sign for us in order to stay here. The hope is only a glimmer as none of my family would qualify or are willing to help out and the wife type's clan is in the same boat, but we are going to continue to try.

Update complete, carry on!

Fuck them Patch. Don't let them push you around. It's a free country. Get a job somewhere else and a different apartment and tell them to shove it.

Let's see......took 11 months to find this job so I am not willing to just walk away from it..........finding another job in 50 days is not a gauranteed solution...............plus it is not the job that is the problem...............it's the housing. And besides, with my credit dings from being out of work, there is not any guarantee that we will be accepted somewhere else unless we want a hovel on Casino.................

So let me get this straight.

We've got a hard-working war hero who has a job, pays his debts and supports his family. The company he's working for wants him to jump through hoops in order to qualify to live in an apartment he's already living in?

What kind of shit-for-brains business are they running? Hasn't their recent experience with crappy workers made them realize that keeping a good employee around is much more valuable than the few extra bucks they can pick up from someone not getting an employee discount?

The reasoning behind it is as follows, whether I like it or not:

When the company is giving a "100%" discount to an employee it does not matter at all, but when an employee is actually paying rent they are required to qualify like anyone else because the company is a REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust). Since they are a trust, they are very strictly regulated in everything that they do, including the fair housing laws. ANYONE who actually rents has to pass the same guidelines in order for them to keep their REIT status. If it was done any other way they would be violating fair housing laws which impacts thier status as a REIT.

Being in the business I understand it......does not mean that I like it..............but I do understand it.

That being said......my job overall pretty much kicks ass. My wage (after October 5th) is going to pretty much kick ass.......my coworkers....now that they fired the douchebag pretty much kick ass........the corporate types in this state pretty much kick ass...........did I mention that I kick ass??.......the corporate guys back in Virginia......well........not sure if they kick ass as I have not met any of them.........plus I am a little pissy at them for what's happening, but now that I know what's up with the REIT swtatus I know they at least do thier jobs well!

In other words, blame it on the fucking feds. They can't make an exception for you if they wanted to. Hopefully things will work out.

Well, no movement of any kind

Looks like we will be giving our notice on the 5th for a moveout on October 5th. Still no clue where/how we will be finding a new place.

Can't they give you an extention on the employee contract housing agreement and just raise the amount they will charge you to be equal to what they were going to charge you on the rental agreement?  That was they technically are only giving the ubber good deal to the new guy and you would be able to stay without having to qualify and yet still not piss in the .govs cheerios.

I am sure there is a shit pile of things they can do, but this housing chick in Virginia is not doing becaue "it would not be fair to every other employee"...

Hell, I would be happy if they just let me pay full rent!

Looks like we found a place.

4 miles up Firetrail Road in North Marysville.

3 bed 2 bath mobile (double wide/manufactured home....whatever). Lot's of space....HUGE fucking back yard with a kickass storage shed.....

Affordable rent.......only a 29 mile each way comute for me to and from work.

Nowhere near the move in costs we have been finding elsewhere...........but still need to find a way to come with with some extra cash.......paychecks between now and the move will not be enough to cover the move in, the move and still live in the mean time..........but probablly looking at half of what we would have had to come up with elsewhere...............

It is a start................too bad this is not happening in january when the wife gets her next student loan money..............

If your hours have you going with traffic, that is a killing commute.  In all seriousness, can you take the bus?  You will save a lot of nerves and boiled radiators.

I hate that you are forced into this situation.

We never see how being unemployed is a good thing before or during the time of trial. But after we've been been through the adversity and have a better job with better pay and we're way happier, that's when we realize it was best for us. We don't have as much opportunity for growth when we cling to what's familiar.

I sincerely wish the best for you.
