Well when you hire Somalian immigrants who barely and rarely speak english and pay them $8.50 an hour, what should you expect?
If you want to secure the country internally, take out the garbage first. Then lock the doors. |
well put |
now that's messed up. I'm surprised they didn't go for the full cavity search. have you ever noticed that they pay the people who are suppose to be protecting the U.S. and its citizens lousy wages. you name it; Army, Navy, Marines, Police, TSA, etc.
Jeez, those TSA guys are giving honorable JBT's a bad name.
Bothe the screener and the supervisor who allowed the action should get some days on the beach and training in people skills. |
They would have tased you, and then you would be escorting a body of a fallen brother back via Grayhound im sure... |

Just pisses me off -- pure bullshit ! Another example of how Thousands Standing
Around operates . Its not about retraining - those bozo's need their asses fired ! |
It needs to be disbanded, and put back into private contract's... at the least, that way you have someone to go after in civil court later. |

I have been listening to Schramm and Carlson talk about it all afternoon.
Seems that Norm Dicks got involved and whoever/whatever is in charge of the Seattle TSA has their ass in a sling. The soldier who sent Schramm the original email had his ass in hack this morning for a few hours. Schramm said that the guy was really not in trouble for telling what happened, he is in trouble becuase he did not clear it with the chain of command. If I had been standing in line I would have gone the fuck off on those TSA fucktards. From the reports it sounds like the Ft. Lewis PAO fucked up by not telling the TSA that there was going to be a military honor guard and not telling the TSA who it would be. The Seattle PD also fucked up because they had been cleared and for some reason they brought the two soldiers back through the boarding/screening area. |
Despite what his command says, he did things the right way. It's easier to ask forgiveness than permission. What do you think the answer, from the chain of command, would have been to a request to publicize how terribly you'd been treated by .gov employees? |
Just remember... This is for YOUR own safety... The gobermint knows more than you do.
I saw something similar happen at the San Diego airport last May. Not an honor guard, but a soldier in his ACUs was late for his flight and TSA did the same to him. He and I shared a few choice words about TSA then he darted down the concourse to his flight - he didn't have enough time to tie his boots.
I'm certain they wouldn't have done that to a police officer in uniform!!! |
Those losers at TSA have been drunk with their own authority ever since they were formed.
Besides making longer lines for everyone at the airports, have they actually done anything for air travel safety? By favorite story is told by a buddy of mine returning from the sandbox on a civilian contract flight. Everyone in the unit was searched and had their combat/pocket knives and fingernail clippers confiscated, but they were allowed to carry their M9s, M16s, M4s and M249s onto the flight. And that's the SECOND time this week I've agreen with Schram. His "Schrammy" this week went to Mayor Nickels for hijacking a Christmas celebration to tell the kids they need to be aware of global warming to save Santa's home... |
Port of Seattle PD has jurisdiction, and should have intervened. I blame the officers on scene.
TSA is filled with clowns, and I've seen them lie first hand in attempts to look good in criminal matters. Obviously its not all TSA employees, but it doesn't take many to get bad PR with some of the stunts I've seen and heard about. |
Your right Stick - POSPD has jurisdiction and could have got visiter badges and escorted through security, don't know why that did'nt happen? I have friends that work in the dept. and need to find out the whole situation . As for TSA - they are a bunch of enept clowns . I deal with them on a daily basis , you wont believe some of the shit i see them do . |
Having flown over 120k miles last year, it's obvious that over half (as they are currently carried out) of the TSA's security measures are for show. The main objective is to make you feel safe, so you will keep buying airline tickets. If they were really serious about security, they would throw all the P.C. bullshit out the window.
What's really strange about the whole tsa thing.... They were formed because the private security agencies working the checkpoints on 9/11 supposedly fucked up. The truth is, they did exactly what they were supposed to. Before then, it was perfectly legal to carry a blade less than 4" on an airplane. (I did it two times a week for 4 years straight). Now we have one of the biggest bueauocracies (sp) in the federal government running security? Good lord help us. |
Regardless of what some may think based on their knee jerk reaction, I agree that it's easier for the TSA to ask for forgiveness than to Royally Fuck Up. How easy is it to dress up like a cop or soldier to try to slide through the airport security checkpoint? If you were the TSA employee, did nothing based on the uniforms, and allowed a group of hijackers/attackers through, how would you sleep at night? The poor POS TSA grunt was doing their job. Sad, but true. Was a lesson learned? Oh, I'd say so, by more than one agency/department. Some I encounter at my job have given me shit for doing it right every time. Sucks, but I get over it pretty quick. |
I'll paraphrase Schramm: HOW MOTHERFUCKING ASSFUCKED STUPID WERE THOSE SHITSTAINED TSA RETARDS?!? THere's a fucking coffin on the tarmac. They were with a MOTHERFUCKING POLICE HONOR GUARD. They were in full uniform, the cops were in full uniform, the cops went through the security checkpoint with no problems, the soldiers showed the TSA assfucks their MILITARY ID but the medals on the soldiers uniforms set off the alarm so instead of the shitstain TSA assfucks using their wands and some common sense they made the soldiers strip down in FRONT OF EVERYONE. I fucking can not believe that you are defending those motherfucking assfucked shitstained TSA retards. |
Let's make one thing clear: I'm not defending them, as in the whole agency, I'm defending the one person holding them up that without having been told WTF is going on, he stuck to (what is likely) procedure. This should not have been a surprise to anyone, yet obvioulsy, there were some problems. How do you know that the lowly TSA POS knows that there is a coffin sitting on the tarmac? Isn't that an assumption you are making? Again, there were clearly some mistakes made by many different folks involved, and this one person stuck to what they thought was their job to do. One person follows (what is likely) procedure in this whole thing, and everyone start shitting bricks. |
Because I was listening to Schramm on the radio. The TSA agent knew that those guys were there to escort the coffin. The port police had lined up as an honor guard to unload the coffin and escorted those guys to the TSA screening point. After Schramm had talked about it on his TV spot Schramm got a call from the head TSA assfuck AT HOME. At first he made a statement along the lines of "if you didn't read it in the paper it didn't happen". Scramm countered with "I head it from one of the guys your TSA retards fucked with". The head TSA fuck told Schramm that it never happened and that the soldier was mistaken. Schramm offered to let the head TSA assfuck talk to the soldier on air. The head TSA assfuck then mumbled something about he'll look into it. The next day the head TSA assfuck called Schramm and told him that they (the SeaTac TSA) owned the soldiers an apology and that they had made a mistake. Read the fucking story.

You seem too upset to even try to reason with.
Don't make assumptions about how I really feel overall about this, or something like this happening. It still does not say anywhere that has been provided here that the little TSA POS that was holding everything up actually knew WTF was going on, or the proper procedure for this situation. If the TSA worker responsible for this felt that if he fucked up his ass was on the line, then I really cannot blame that one person for what they did, as long as all that made mistakes learned from it. There are admitted mistakes made by other agencies involved, yet everyone is coming down like a ton of bricks because of the TSA worker trying to do the job as well as they thought it needed to be at the moment. I suppose no one here ever fucked up royally at work, but since it didn't involve a dead soldier, it was no big deal? I'm done with this. Enjoy your frustration, I have. |
If Joe Schmuck/tsa agent did not have standing orders to allow soldiers x,y & z through the gate and had, there would be a shitstorm had they not been checked, uniforms, orders, papers aside.
I view this entire "news" incident, Schram and KOMO publicity, as liberals trying to be on the soldiers side as "proof" they support the soldiers. Bullshit and we all damn well know it. It is a travesty? Sure. Who should be fried? Whoever arranged the escort and didnt provide express security clearance detailed information and upfront permission for them to clear unmolested. Not the $10 flunky who did their job. And +1 for I would have refused to strip my uniform of my medals. Period. |
Despite my feelings on this matter, let me tell you what will happen to the screener and his supervisor.
Nothing..... As long as they were following procedure, nothing will happen to them. The powers that be in DC want to maintain absolute control of their law enforcement officers. So long as an officer goes by the book, he is golden. What happens now is that some .gov asshat in DC with shit for brains and no knowledge of the real world, will change the book. For now, until another incident occurs and the book has to be changed again. Federal LEO's have been losing the ability to use discretion since the formation of Homeland Security. In the past, the TSA Screener may have had the authority and ability to use discretion allow the soldiers through. He probably doesn't anymore. Expect to see more incidents like this in the future as the .gov dumbs down its LEOs. |
Im seeing it in my line of work now... Example: ( No shit we get calls just like this, and more) At one time I could have told a lady in Mill Creek that it is not illegal to be a blackman, and walking down the street. ( Cuz "everyone" knows that it just not "normal" around "this area"), and tell her that I will not send an officer unless there is some sort of crime,or even maybe something looks like a crime.... Now I have to enter this call... There is no discretion allowed any more, We have to enter EVERYTHING now... At least no one has told me that I cant try to reason with callers like this yet, and try to make them change their own mind. |
Is there a source for this BESIDES Schram?
I guess not... |
Why don't you call Schramm up today and tell him that you want proof. I am serious, he'll take you call. 10 to 1 he'll put you in touch with the guys who there. |

Me upset? Kettle meet pot. Me make assumptions? You're the one who is making the assumptions. So that's how you handle a discussion, you walk away. |
Well, right back atcha, Mr. Kettle. Now how did any of that help prove your point? Me make assumptions? You're the one who is making the assumptions. Everyone is, based on what some radio tlak show host in, so far, one market is saying. As we all know, the media is very concerned about making sure all the facts are presented, and people get to decide for themselves what really happened, and why. You seem to assume that I believe that nothing wrong happened on the part of the TSA, and that I am defending them. If so you are very wrong. As an agency, they fucked up. Somewhere, there is a supervisor or manager that fucked up, and is likely putting the blame downhill. I am not defending the agency as a whole. As a .gov department, I think they suck out loud in nearly everything they do, and their brief history proves I'm right. You seem to be angry, and like many others, want to dump all responsibility on the TSA. I'm simply trying to show that with other .gov agencies and departments admitting screwing up too, the blame can be spread around to more than one agency/department. You , yourself, reported:
Again, this is not defending the TSA, or any of their employees or actions. So that's how you handle a discussion, you walk away. Yes, that is how I handle people that seem to angry to reason with and won't listen to what another has to say because they are dead set in their own judgments. You're unwilling to accept that the person at the bottom of the hill, where all the shit rolls down and piles up, might have been making decision based on his or her training or experience, and even though they thought they were doing their job the best they knew how, folks want to come down on one person and/or one agency for fucking up. Like I said, enjoy your frustration. I have. I hope you, or one of your bosses, never make a mistake at work with the intentions of doing your job right and you get dumped on by an entire large website/forum, region, or the whole country. |

.gov employees complaining about allegedly being mistreated by .gov employees? LMAO, that just reeks of hypocrisy. I guess they don't like the taste of the medicine they dispense. |
I see you're not a man of your word.
Speaks volumes about yourself. |
And you are a better man simply because you didn't say you were done only to come back? How small of a nit do you want to pick about me here? And do you feel better about yourself and your position having said that? I hope so. I hope it worked out to be everything you thought it would. And to the Mods, this might be a good point to lock this one up. Things will pretty much go nowhere from here, now that we see how Ka3B and I end our "discussions". Just my "not a man of my word" opinion. |
Why are you suggesting that Gibby's topic be locked?... If it were yours I could understand... |
You're right, out of line. Possibly a little regret for being part of this topic turning to shit? |

It's all good clean fun, and it beats the shit out of the same old Militia debates. |

Ken Schram: Hopefully it won't happen again
Let's hope this issue is now resolved. Last week I wrote a commentary on how TSA screeners mishandled a pair of Fort Lewis soldiers who were accompanying a colleague's body to Virginia for burial. They were made to put down the flag that covered the soldier's coffin and then had to publicly strip down to their T-shirts, pants and socks. Congressman Norm Dicks read the commentary on-line and was on this issue like white on rice. He had detailed conversations with TSA and The Department of Homeland Security officials back in D.C. Bottom line: TSA says that protocols and training will be updated to assure nothing like this happens again. I'm told military personnel escorting a body for burial will go from the airport tarmac directly to the boarding area. All other military travelers in uniform will, if necessary, be taken to a private area if a more detailed search is required. As for the two Fort Lewis soldiers, I'm told they will be getting a formal apology from TSA officials for what they were made to endure out at Sea-Tac. It has yet to be decided what, if any, disciplinary action will be taken against the screener at Sea-Tac. Now, let's see if TSA lives up to its word. |
The real question would be how hard is it to get a coffin onto a plane, then coordinate the military detail and police to arrive to meet them. For people equating TSA with LEO, please don't, they are alike in that they both wear uniforms. They have a very different job than peace officers, and I doubt they are given much in the way of discretion, academy, or time in actual training. |
There used to be a gal at the east Vancouver supercuts that I'd go to for haircuts. Her husband got a job with TSA right after 9-11. Met the guy once, he said he dumbed himself down to get hired, and the folks he works with are mostly idiots and/or underachievers, the rest are incompetent or have huge chips on their shoulder. The smart ones become supervisors or managers, and are trained to be robots, and they try to keep from having to do front line work/dealing directly with the public whenever they can. He's not really happy with the job, but the benefits and such are nice, and since that is what his family needs, he toughs it out at work for them. Sad. I applied for a screener job. I might enjoy prison work more than TSA screener. |
If the screener followed existing protocol, no discipline is necessary or warranted. |
BS, i lost count of how many well paying jobs I was fired from for making a stand on what is right and just. Just following orders to keep a job is the most cowardly thing a man or women can do. |
Since when is treating soldiers the same as everyone else is wrong and unjust? Give me a break. Is it really unfathomable that someone with nefarious intents could discover this double standard and dress as a soldier to bypass security? According to you soldiers are war criminals anyway, right? They should be glad they were only strip searched by TSA. |
Well then it's nice to know that a couple of guys in uniform should be able to just show up with flag draped casket full of C-4 and be given a free pass. |
That is a total fabrication and not what happened, nor could it happen. |
