I'm in the process of building an AR for 200-300 yard shooting.  Does anyone have any suggestions for a good quality scope in the $200-$300 range?  Suggestions are appreciated.  Thanks for your time.

I wasn't able to distinguish the difference between the 10x42 and the 10x42m.  Any help?

I have had pretty good luck with a Bushnell 3200 10X40 for a low end scope that works good. Around $200 give or take. I liked the Super Sniper I had also....

I think, after contemplation, that I want to go the adjustable magnification route.  Any more suggestions for the $300 range?  Thanks for all the help so far.

I put this on my Savage and I love it.

You can get it at EABCO for $219.

Did you have to use the high base rings or will the mids work on the Savage?

I used high.  With the Buttler Creek covers I should have used extra high.

Man, that looks exactly like what I need.  What kind of rings/mount would you suggest for mounting to a flat top reciever?  I'd like to be able to remove it easily, but don't want to spend more on the mount than the scope.

I used Warne rings from EABCO also.  They have both the standard and removable ones.
