Coyote hunting in the Ellensburg area would be a good choice now. Calving season is just starting up. The areas west and south of Olympia also hold a fair amount of coyotes.
Prairie dogs aren't an option in you range limitation. |

I have two pairs of NV 3rd gen goggles for night hunting
 I have a couple of callers also. We could go around and ask a few of the farmers. I know of one farmer that would most likely welcome us. But what ever you plan let me know if I'm invited and I'll see if I can go.

I should be able to get to Tri Cities or possibly Spokane, WA, Pendleton or Bend, OR in 5 hours or less. I don't know prairie dogs that well, but I'm surprised they wouldn't be in that range unless it's too early in the year.
Oh, and pretty much any previous LCR attendees would be invited; it'd be a fun shoot. |
