Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Odt pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

I've narrowed it down to E-coli, or stomach flu. Puking at least a gallon up earlier this morning seems impossible after not eating or drinking much more than a cupfull or two in the past 36 hours.
Docs never have good news... I avoid them like the plague. KA3B, my only MKII sunk while target fishing last week. (shoot & release) Sorry. |

NO SHIT.... Pedialite can help to if you cannot keep anything down... But head to the docs or the ER. If nothing else a good couple of liters of IV will make you feel worlds better... Don't mess around bro, I had to go pick up my wife from the ER a few years ago for dehydration... If you cannot keep fluids down you can take yourself out in short order. |

Thanks for all the well wishes all.
 My problems are literally moving south.  (much easier to deal with)I managed to get some soup broth and steamed rice down from the local Happy Teriyaki, along with a whole bottle of A&W root beer on the drive home. 22 burps later, I'm feeling much better.  If I hadn't felt better after eating, I woulda called the Doc. I'm sure some dehydration has taken place. Whatever it is, it's contagious. Chelleshooter had it, along with both my sons, my ex-wife, and everyone she had over for dinner last Sunday night. Stay clear of the LCR until further notified. Thanks again. |

Shoulda went with me, you'd get over it in time for elk camp. KOMO news just reported it, (I can't find it on their website), that unusually high numbers of cases of Gast*******? (didn't catch the spelling) are being reported. Usually misdiagnosed as food poisening, caused by a virus, usually lasts approximately 24 hours, dehydration is biggest threat, etc..... |

gastroenteritus? I heard on the radio that there has been an outbreak of salmonella poisoning related to vegetables in the last couple weeks. They don't know what vegetables are causing it yet though. Cases in 18 states already. |

Gastroenteritis? Usually associated with viruses and bacterial invasions. Glad to hear you are on the mend. Stick with clear liquids for the first 24 hours or so after you can start keeping something down and drink every 30 mins or so 4-6 ozs, if you can tolerate that much. If after 48 hours and unable to keep anything down go see a Dr. At that point cause could be bacterial. |

I only caught the first four letters, and gave up on pronunciation, but yes, I think that's it. Thanks for the advice. Last nights dinner didn't bode well, but I felt pretty good this morning, by comparison. I just doctored up some Campbells chicken noodle soup for lunch, (added some sauteed veggies & garlic), and it's settleing semi-well, considering. Off to the kitchen for another small glass o' water.

Salmonella or E-Coli? I heard the latest outbreak of E-Coli is from tomatoes instead of spinach this time around. ETA: It was salmonella. It has probably peaked. Suspected tomatoes and lettuce. |
