And there are 5 deer laying in the middle of the range. 4 doe and a fawn. We didn't go to shoot of course so they just layed there, stared at us and ate grass.

There are almost always six and often a dozen deer on the range at night, a week ago we had been training all day and had the vehicles down in the middle of the range, the sun set and it was getting pretty dark when six of them wandered by us while we leaned against the vehicles talking, shooting and conversation doesnt seem to bother them that much.

200 yard line at the range

You can see from this picture how the grass grows there and why the deer like it so much it gives them concealment as well as food.

My brother has worked for the same company since 1979,  I used to manufacture farm equipment but that industry is gone here, now there is just the odd prototype medical device but mostly field repair of heavy equipment.

I just see pictures of grass and a lawn chair.

EDIT: That dude in the second picture needs to clean up his firing position.  Top of right foot needs to be flat on the ground, right elbow needs to drop, move left hand forward... Does anybody know how to shoot with a sling anymore?

And tell the spotter to move closer to the shooter, it's easier to talk and you know... actually catch trace.

Oh wait, that was just grass and a lawn chair.

nope, I was wrong... it's just a lawn chair.

I think it might be Chinese though, feel free to loosen the ROE on lawn chairs in your yard at any time.
