I don't know how many of you guys shoot here, but this shooting spot is getting seriously trashed.  There are a ton of busted up electronics, shotgun hulls, a PIANO, and other garbage strewn over this small pit. hooting I wouldn't want yet another good place to plink get shut down just because people are too lazy and disrespectful to clean their crap up.

Also, it would probably be a good idea not to shoot posted signs and the gate... Thanks.

See all those piles around there? We raked them. Too bad we can't get through the gate to haul it out.

Are volunteering to host a work party? We've had several over the winter, be they keep on hauling shit out there.

My favorite pit up in the Snoqualmie/Mt Baker N.F. area got shut down from all the dipshits dragging stuff up there and leaving it behind (which I don't do). Once there was a complete and intact mobile home there with only a few bullet holes, I used it as a tactical entry training tool, kicked in the door and blasted the cabinets and fixtures with my 870 express Mag at point blank, hella fun but that was the last time I shot there, closed about a month later.

You mean that I have to bring a rake and trashbags, and haul stuff out on my own dime?...

All kidding aside dude, We have been the only ones cleaning up that pit for years now...Yes it is overdue for a real good cleaning, but we are the ones that do it.

Why is it gated?
Link Posted: 3/23/2006 6:40:57 AM EDT
[#8]
It's gated because it's private property.

We, and the jerk offs who mess it up, are allowed to use it at the pleasure of the owners and the caretaker.

I started shooting there when Bill Clinton was president, it was already that way, but I'm sure others have been using that spot for much longer than I have.

I sense offensive racial undertones in that image. I demand that you be banned for 2 weeks.

Well, that's great that you guys have cleaned it up before.  Does anyone want to go up there and clean it up again?  I'd be willing to join you guys.  What did you guys do to keep plinkers out of your hair during the clean-up effort?

What tools besides rakes and trash bags do you bring?  Is there a dump near by?

I'm glad to see that the looters from New Orleans are now gainfully employed!

Honestly, Im for a cleanup...

This weekend is out because of the show, But I would be able to do Next Sunday Morning, hit breakfast early, and then get up there with about 6-9 people, just start at the top of the backstop and work out way back to the fireing line?...

That Sunday(April 2nd) should work for me.  What time in the morning are you thinking?

It is gated off for two reasons.

One is that it is private property, two is that it's a "limited public access" trailhead to the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
