Chelan isnt in Mid/East Wa. we gave it to the coasties because of all the PugetSound types that live there on the weekends now.

Makes me sick to my stomach sometimes all the building going on in former wilderness areas. Down here in the real dry area, once had sagebrush as far as the eye could see, no more. When all the sage went so did alot of the chukar and pheasant.

500yards, ahh yes, as far as you can see and your rifle will go, but not on an offical range that is.

161infintry, I hear you we have our homestead property just below Methow and one of the best places has been bought up by Tacoma Land Company and divided it up in to 75 20 acre lots, out in the middle of nowhere, great hunting and now its all fenced in and sold to boot. Heck a guy cant go anywhere here any more without it being sold and developed.  If your on the river everyday someone comes in wanting to buy a chunk.  Our neighbor got a divorce had 52 acres sold it to a guy from the "wet country" for 300,000.00 this guy has it 1 year sells it to another web footer for 1.2 million and kept 6 acres!!!!!  Thats what its like over here makes me sick!
Odt, we have stopmed the same country, I grew up just below Methow on the Methow river, it used to awesome to go fishing, hunting, rafting with no one around, now you cant go a 1/4 mile without running into someone on the river.  Hunting you gotta know where to go to get away from the idiots.  Thats one of the reasons were selling the homestead just to many people parking in your driveway to go fishing, people stoping and pissing in your yard, trash.  I asked one guy last summer where he lived so I could come piss in his yard and leave my McDonalds sack.  So Odt where are you now? How about you 161infintry?  Oh Da_Bunny yes I have a 500 yard target range at our homestead place I have a big old manhole cover hanging in a tree.  btw I'm setting up a new range on our other property if it ever dries out.

I hunted not far from where you live last year. Up on Loop Loop pass. Didn't realize moose were in that area until one walked in front of me.

I think alot of the good places over there are getting run over. My family has a summer house in a community on the columbia river and the area IMO is gowing down hill. It has gone from rednecks to yuppies in the past few years
