IT was 18 F here this morning, but these winds may blow the barn down if they get any worse.

The power has been blinking here, (gusting winds) but the temp is only 31F. I am surprised that the winds is not blowing hard else where.

Cant sleep as the sound of the wind tearing the metal roof off is just too loud, and screwing metal roof back on in the dark with high gusting winds doesnt sound like much fun either.

It is very cold in this old barn.

My wife and I use an oil-based electric heater in our bedroom.   Helps on the heating bill (we have an old oil furnace) since it's not necessary to keep the whole house at the same temperature.    For emergencies (power outage) we have the Buddy Heater and a Survival Cat.

18 at my house when I left this morning.  It didn't seem windy at home, but as soon as I hit the freeway it was gusting pretty good.

Strat does your bunker have internet and electricity? ;)

It is cold and windy on the south side too... We've lost power and got it back many times today. They said snow fluries but it is nice and clear still. Temp in town is reading 27 but here my digital thingy says 21.

Winds were strong enough today in Seattle to buffet a 60-ft. Articulated Bus.

Northbound Hwy. 99 on the east side of Queen Anne Hill a gust of wind between new construction apartment buildings 'knocked' the coach sideways to the left a good foot or so...always exciting while doing 40 mph in traffic with passengers on board.
Southbound Hwy. 99 on the Aurora Bridge, same story.

Thrill a minute.

According to one poster on this Forum, Bus Drivers need to learn how to drive...
They don't call it a Bus RIDE  for nothin' !

Power just came back on.  We've been without since yesterday morning.  It was so cold and windy yesterday my cat didn't even want to go outside!

We lost power from about 0500 on Friday morning until about 1245 on Saturday.  Kinda sucked, because the power to the water pump also went out, so we had no running water, either (and no fans to circulate the gas heat we had).

There's a hot-tub here, which had about 2" of ice on it that I had the pleasure of removing yesterday, too.
