I went to the hardware store to buy 30 amp male/female cord ends to go between the generator and the transfer switch. $60!

Unless the sat dish gets hit, the game is a go at la hacienda HABU.

The company which employs me barges in all the materials we need except for water. This evening we have one barge loaded with cementatious powder moored to our dock. They were preparing to move it away to another dock possibly, depending on how soon the inpending storm makes landfall. We have another barge loaded with coarse and fine aggregates departing Canada this evening headed to our local plant, but have delayed its departure also pending same storm pattern movement.

Reports I got are Straits of Juan Defuca 60+MPH winds.

The gentlemen who are charged with offloading aforementioned barges were conveying to me the naval weather report they had received this evening. The shipping channel named "The Straits of Juan DeFuca" is forecasted to receive 60 plus mile per hour sustained winds in the sme weather pattern all our barge traffic is observing.

There may be no funshow tommorrow for my ass.

If this storm system is  as severe as it is forecasted to be, the weather may dictate alternative plans for tommorrow for me. There would be little use in going to a gathering 40 miles away if the venue has no electricity and the driving will be extrememly hazardous due to adverse weather conditions.

If you didnt get it this time, I can think of one more way to convey my message.

Sat. The wind has just begun to blow hard, it's a high wind but the more rain that comes with it the lower it get's.  I don't care if the power goes out, I just don't want any trees over my fence.
In the old days they could judge how hard the wind was blowing by looking at the animals and how many of thier butts were turned toward it.       It's a two butt wind here.

It took my company years to open a new mine in King County, and now they have so many restrictions on operating, there is no way they can supply the market.

And I drive American trucks, on the job and off, how about you Frenchy?
