Rumor has it Cabelas is going to open a store in Post Falls. Will be a shipping hub for them but should have a store front. Anyone heard this? Old news?

I have never been in one. Heard you pay for the size and displays.

Couple of the other links on that google search say more or less the same thing. None of them mention it being just a hub. Also says Liberty Lake is trying for it too.  Good for me.

ACE hardware- 3mins
Home Depot- 5mins
Cabelas??-5-10mins
Indoor shooting range-15mins
Location, location, location-Priceless.

Powell said other stores range up to 250,000 square feet and take up to a year to build. By comparison, the Costco store in Spokane Valley is about 140,000 square feet.

WOW!!! I had no idea their stores were that big!

Oh yes...its great fun too. In my travels between WA and NH last year I stopped at the stores in Sydney and  and Mitchell. I was alone during my trip thru Sydney and I stayed as long as I wanted and went back the next morning too. The family was w/ me in Mitchell so our time there was shorter. If youve never been to one of their stores its worth the trip...big fun esp the shooting sports dept. The other nifty bit is if you buy it there it can be shipped to your home address which means you can skip the sales tax. In other words its treated as a catalog sale. Also theres the bargain cave (or whatever its called) which is basically a backroom with close outs and returns. Most of the prices were pretty good too.

They are still debating Post Falls or Liberty Lake.  Washington states F'd up taxes and laws are kind of driving the Post Falls thing.  It is supposed to be a full store.

Adding to the rumor mill, heard Cabela's want's their own exit. Don't know exactly where.

Buy it in Idaho and ship it to my door across the border. Works for me.

Having their own exit would be a good thing... The damn stores ARE HUGE... I went on a trip to Missouri twice...just to be able to go to the Cabelas stores in Kearny(the first store), sydney, and Kansas city...My uncle told me about Cabelas moving here weeks ago, its cool that it may happen...no more CROSS COUNTRY road trips

I Went to my first one on the way moving out here. Bought a case of 12G 00 buck for under $40.

This past Thanksgiving I stopped at the brand new one in Wheeling WV coming back fromt he War College. They did indeed have their exit, Cabelas Lane iirc.

I made it all the way to the front door.

motherfuck Cabelas.

It will be nice if they do but they will kill Sportsmans Warehouse and put the final nail in White E's coffin...

Has the white elephant been on the downslide?

I don't think it will kill Sportsmans as it will still get all the mall traffic.

Haven't been in to White Elephant for a long time. While I like supporting the local guys, but the store layout drives me nuts.

I'm sure they will choose Id. for tax reasons. Cabelas isn't concerned with being in remote locations, they have the "if you build it they will come" theory. I can't speak for the valley White E. but the division store is doing fine, as is the G store. I think population growth in E. Wa and N. Id has been enough to support them all. Although a Cabelas store might be a little different story

I'm pretty sure that is for firearms people bring into the store to have checked out, traded in, etc...not concealed carry

I also heard theyre thinking about putting a store in southern NH which is an easy drive for most of the rest of new england. Theres no sales tax in NH and its the favorite spot for out of staters (esp MA and CT) to buy big ticket items. I think its a good choice on Cabelas part to put a store there.

I think the sign is bs and clearly says all  but I do not care  what a stores policy is. on cpl. If it is legal I will carry.

I agree the sign is bs, but spending my money in a place that wants me to turn in or hand over my guns is just not somethng I will do.
