Stress?
Never heard of it.
My opinion only, but your descriptions of the cons, sounds just like most jobs to me. All work is just plain old work, sooner or later... don't matter what it is, IMHO.
As a kid, I just knew that if I ever got to run heavy equipment, I'd have it made for life. What could be better than moving the earth around with the flick of a control lever? Hey it looked fun, and it was at first..... but after sitting on a D-8 for 3 months, I discovered that I felt like I was in prison, being stuck on that boring ass machine.
Fast forward to now, and having had the fortunate luxury of bounceing around in several different fields of work, and even picking up a few skills along the way. I've discovered the learning curve parts are fun, and the rest of it is just mundane repetition.
I've always been envious of those who seem to love what they do for a living. (I've noticed attorneys and dentists seem most likely to fall in to this category for some reason) But I don't know anything about it, or at least have never experienced it long term.
Back to stress though, my opinion is that learning to deal with and control stress is really a very worthwhile task. If it doesn't kill you, it'll make you stronger. Either are acceptable to me.
BTW, I've spent considerable time in your line of work. Every aspect of property management can be precarious, but seldom dull. Could be worse.
