My first day in the field.
Already saw my first bear...135 yds chomping on berrys, I was loud, noisy, and smelly not really even trying to hunt yet, just walking to the ridge that I was going start glassing... I did not take the shot, it is only day 2 of the season, and my first chance to get out, I usually just use bear/cougar season to do my Deer scouting anyway. Also hearing lots of reports of Cougar in downtown Lk Stevens.  and a couple out Strats way.

It's all a matter of intent, and it is on private property, I lost a number of sheep to predators in the past, so as anyone with livestock can tell you the beasts have no business this close to civilization, if my animals are fair game then so are they ! |
