Didn't you hear? McDonnel Douglas purchased Boeing, but with Boeing's money. Get with it!

Given all the subsequent scandals and corporate malfeasance, I think there's quite a bit of truth to that statement!

mach 1 at 50' ASL?

They'll do 900 mph at sea level, well over mach 1.  The F-4 has a complex intake system (I worked on it) that allows it to perform as well at SL as it does up high, unlike many modern aircraft like the lawn dart (F-16).  The only planes that could hang with an F-4 down low are the F-111, Tornado, and B-1 (high subsonic but low endurance).  Check this link out: www.boeing.com/defense-space/military/f4/bluebook/images/d4e-237096.htm

I think the new logo is misspelled though, shouldn't it say BOING!
